Q: Regarding ADW, back in February you indicated you would be fine holding for a while and that the worst was possibly over. At that time, the stock price was between $7.00 and $8.00 from Feb 22 to Mar 22. What are your thoughts now that stock price is in the $ 5.00 range ? Should I continue to hold until the next earnings release (I am getting the ~ 5% dividend which is some help). What are expectation for next earnings and at what point do I cut my losses and move on (how bad would earnings have to be) ??

Q: I sold ROKU at the end of Sept to harvest a tax loss and bought NFLX in its stead. Fast forward a month and ROKU is about what I sold it for while NFLX is up about 20% (thanks for the suggestion!)

My question is in two parts. First, does ROKU, in your opinion, still represent a stock with a better longer-term upside than NFLX meaning I should continue with the original plan to sell NFLX and repurchase ROKU?

Second, if the answer to the above is yes, do you think it is best to repurchase ROKU in a month or so as I suspect it will be a target for tax loss selling or might it be best to wait until the new year so as to defer my cap gain on NFLX with the expectation that ROKU likely hasn't appreciated much in the meantime?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Merchants are now allowed to charge customers a fee if they pay by Mastercard or Visa. I own shares of Mastercard and had been hoping Mastercard would comment on this in their most recent earnings but do not think there was any mention of it. I have already heard from friends opting to pay cash or by debit card to avoid the fee at some fast-food restaurants that have already starting charging. Now I see bigger companies like Telus have announced they will start charging a fee for anyone paying by credit card, so wonder if more people may decide to switch to alternate payment methods. Could you please comment on this. Do you think this could have a significant impact on Mastercard’s business? Thank you.

Q: Down approx 25% in each of Goog, Msft and Amzn. Down 45% in Meta. I have a 5 year window and am looking for total return and less volatility. I am inclined to keep the first 3 and switch Meta for Cost or Aapl. Please critique my plan. Thank you

Q: In a previous comment you stated "Five stocks that we feel will perform well over a long term period are: TSU, NVDA, SHOP, CSU, and INMD." In regards to INMD, what are your thoughts on other competitors in medical aesthetics, such as CUTR, ABBV, SIEN, or others I may have left out? What makes INMD more desirable in your opinion?

Q: Hello 5i
I have been wondering whether Meta is a good choice given it’s recent fall. So, i was interested in your response to a question this morning. You seemed positively disposed towards the stock. Shortly after that i read a small piece by Cathy Wood’s Arkk, which is usually seen as willing to take risks. Someone said that she makes all or nothing bets. I was surprised to see that they see Meta as doing just that. I will post a short excerp. And would be very interested to know what you think of it:

In our view, if augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR) were to become the next mobile and at-home computing platforms, the return on investment could dwarf the $10-15 billion per year that Meta currently is spending to secure leadership in the space. That said, if AR and VR do not scale to the mass-market, Meta's current pace of investing could be a colossal mistake.
