Q: I was reading a question in my daily summary about your "wonderful dividend change site." Can you tell me where I can find this on the 5i website?

Q: Good morning team. I am considering "parking" some funds in a high interest savings account fund, such as HIRA-NE. From what I read, it is directly correlated to the bank of Canada rate and it happens in real time. Does it offer the same level of preservation of capital as a GIC and is the capital protected? Is this a safe place to park funds over the $100,000 threshold?

Much appreciated

Q: As a follow up to your excellent summary response to my question asking about Digital Turbines (APPS) quarterly earnings, you said you would be comfortable adding to it with a long term view in mind and that it may come down in price after its big rise after the earnings report. I am wondering what would be a good price to try and get to add to a small position (decreased significantly since purchased near highs). Thank so much for all your great advice and work that the 5i team does!

Q: Hello Peter,
Greenland Renewables results did not seem to be that bad, but during the rally, the stock either stayed the same or declined. Can you comment please? During market call, the manager indicated BEP does not provide good value and feels taking dividends out of cash flow (instead of net income) does not make sense (unless i misunderstood). Also, i plan to hold AQN for dividend for long term and was wondering if that makes sense given your posted comments. Finally, is knight an example of company where one should not rely on past performance of a CEO? Thanks very much

Q: As a follow up to Davids question today, re Fixed Floating Preferred Shares, can we trade these as stocks, without caring too much on rates. As was said in the question if one is buying 60 cents on a dollar, the price fluctuation is enough to compensate on the lower yield. It seems to be an attractive thing for fixed income of anyone's portfolio. I suppose the yield will be paid at the price the preferred share is sold.

Q: Hi Guys

Can you outline a bit your thoughts on the Latin American holdings/issues with Scotia Bank eg. Mexico/Chile. Do you see these as short term issues which will resolve in time, view their holdings as having long term value and be a good contributor to earnings going forward (or assets they will be looking to shed), and do you see BNS earning as going down/staying the same/or going up over the next 5 years. And lastly the safety of the dividend?

Much thanks

Stuart

I am assisting our daughter with a mortgage renewal and she has the opportunity of renewing her mortgage at 5.4%,fixed for a 4 year period at this time versus waiting until July 2023. I would appreciate your feedback on this plan.

Q: Morning 5iTeam,
Although David Rosenberg has always been a nay sayer, his recent comments on the economy and equity markets in 2023 were gloomier than usual. What is your take on this? Is there any credence to what he's saying? Maybe he is shorting the markets????
Cheers,

Q: Both PIMCO Tactical Income Fund (9.6% Yield) and PIMCO Dynamic Income Fund (13% Yield), were mentioned on the weekend.

Their unit prices have dropped due to the rise in interest rates. I am retired and have very little exposure to fixed income. Would this be a reasonable investment to consider? One would expect if interest rates continue to rise, the units’ prices will continue to be adversely affected.

Thank you

Kim
