Q: Hi 5i,
sorry for beating this horse but I would appreciate your thoughts on AQN.
These are speculative events. Can you prioritize these possible future events and give some high level reasons they might do it. Priority #1 being the most likely if it ever happens. (a) approx. dividend cut by 50%. (b) issuing more shares. (c) buying back shares. (d) issuing more debt. (e) asset sales. (f) others? I noticed that there has been some insider buying buy the CEO very recently. Thanks for your thoughts!

Q: Hi, Hope you are able to provide your opinion on this company, after the CC and reviewing today's price action with about 20% drop on large volume. We have owned this stock for income for several years even with poor performance, lately, but liquidated half of our holding at the open today, with a small loss. ( at least capital loss can be harvested). Is there any rationale to continue to own the company, for Growth and if so, what is the level of your conviction with management's plan ? Thank You

Q: Hello Peter,

We do not own LNTH as of yet but are watching the stock. When looking at sales and stock price for a 5-year period it was relatively flat. What event triggered a 3-fold increase in stock price? Was it one very large order for equipment in 2021 or a sustainable increase in equipment sales?

Cheers,
Debbie and Jerry

Q: I have an account at Wealthsimple. I received an email this past week from them about their Venture Fund I and that they are accepting new clients until Nov 25. This deadline seemed a bit strange to me considering they have never before informed me about this fund. According to them, this fund invests in high-growth potential, pre-IPO companies.Over the past 25 years, venture capital has produced 15% returns on average, versus 10% for the S&P 500.

In your opinion, if the economy is moving into a recession, is this a bad time to invest in Venture capital has a pretty good historical track record of above market returns. Is there anything else you can tell me about this fund?
thanks for your service

Q: I am a holder of MRU and currently trying to decide if I should either trim or sell and deploy capital somewhere else. the P/E seems high, relative to pears, and it has had a good run recently. My holdings represent 4.0% of the portfolio, but would love to get a little juicier yield. Is it still and good holding in a recession situation? Your perspective would be appreciated.

Q: I am aretired dividend investor and tend to keep stocks. My full position in AQN is nearing a half position (its in a RRIF so no tax loss selling). The 9.4% dividend for a Utility is extremely attractive. I am thinking of buying some more. I have read the questions and I realize a dividend cut could happen but since they will not report again until March 1, is a cut, if there is one, before then unlikely?

Q: For price appreciation in the next 12-24 months, would you prefer a long-term ETF like XLB/TLT or an ETF with shorter duration like XBB/ZAG. Or a bit of both?
Thanks.
