Q: Good Morning 5i team, need your help

My portfolio allocation for AYA has increased from 2% to a little over 9%. I have tried to trim this back but every day i see increasing returns and continue finding positive article after positive article regarding forward looking prospects.

I am going to follow your lead and do as you recommend regarding whether I should sit as is or trim back to a smaller portfolio allocation % for this company.

As always, thanks for everything you do. My prescription will be coming due early next year and you can look forward to me eager renewal.

Gord

Q: Hello 5i team,

It was announced yesterday AYA and California based tribes are joining forces along with a number of poker clubs to operate a licensed online poker site in California once legislation is enacted to authorize iPoker.

Is this legislation authorizing "iPoker" in California a done deal? And if so, doesn't this open up an incredibly large revenue stream for AYA with such a large population having access to online poker via Poker Stars? And does this announcement have anything to do AYA's 6.5% increase (and still climbing) today?

Thanks for all you do

Gord

ps... my portfolio allocation for AYA is now at 8.1%. Should I trim this position or hold fast?

Q: Hi Peter New member, very happy...wondering what your parameters are to keep a stock in equity portfolio as far as growth targets going forward (share value). For someone hopping on the some new names.....wondering if we have missed the boat on some of your real winners like AYA/CSU/SYL/ESL and what you continue to target for gains in some that have not so far like DSG/MDA or SJ before you would toss them out
Thanks for all you and your staff do

Q: Greetings from BC: I read the following in a gaming article, but I did not see any of this news coming from the company. Does that mean that it is not "material"? The article said it was the reason behind Amaya's recent drop in share price. The whole gray-market issue is not something I've heard much about, but I guess Canada is also a gray market. Perhaps they are doing this to clean up Poker Stars and Full-Tilt in order to prepare to face US regulators?

Amaya Gaming withdraws from 'gray areas'
Since the acquisition of their parent company Oldford Group Limited by the Amaya Gaming Group, PokerStars and Full Tilt have already undergone several significant changes. These included, amongst others, the launch of the new PokerStars 7 client and an opening to the casino world with the inclusion of roulette and blackjack games to PokerStars.es.

Amaya CEO David Baazov says the company intends to use both PokerStars and Full Tilt to enter new verticals like casino and the sports betting, but the group does not seem keen to keep working in "gray markets" where online games are not expressly prohibited or strictly regulated.

What do you think?

Q: Amaya went to 37$ recently, and seems rather volatile. In a TFSA, would you advise 'timing' the market ? Now it is at 32.70$, 11% less. It seems to make sense to do some market timing for 10% or over with no tax consequence. Same principle for a RRSP. Do you agree ? If not, exactly why ? It seems to work with volatile stocks (with no tax consequence).
One might argue that AYA being quite volatile, it might jump much higher in no time, and timing the market is always a risky game. Would you use this argument (and again I would stress that this seems useful only when there is no tax consequence) ?

Q: Is "Pick and Pay" for cable subscribers positive, negative or neutral for DHX? What is the short position on the stock? Also do you still see Amaya as an acquisition target by larger competitors as in the April report, or is it the big fish now? What would be the next milestone in its growth plan to watch for, perhaps a legalization in a large Democratic state with the skids greased by Gen. Wesley K. Clark, Independent Director; also what is the short position? Thanks, J.

Q: Hi team. My AYA is now 10.5% of my 3 PFs which as a whole are very well balanced thanks to you. I had doubled up when I saw good news. The first buy is placed in my TFSA and the double up in my non Registered. I am in a low tax bracket. Do you feel this present rise in price is just a flare up so to speak? Would it be a good idea to trim some shares? Or should I wait until after Friday (TSX info)? thanks so much once again. I am up 48% in my entire TFSA since April of this year because of you all..
