Q: Dear 5i team.
Given the current market backdrop, if one was to take 100K and build an ETF portfolio for min 10 year timeframe, which sectors would you be comfortable buying into before year end and which ETFs would you choose to accomplish this.

Q: Hi,
OECD will implement new international minimum taxes in 2023 and 2024.
Any idea which canadian or US companies will be most impacted, I guess negatively. Any positively? Thanks

Q: With both the US and Canadian governments announcing taxes on share buybacks could one speculate that companies might in the future start to accumulate more cash and not always having a “good” option to make good use of this cash. Almost giving some companies no choice but to issue more in dividends or start a dividend? Am I mistaken but I thought from the 1940’s to the 70 or 80’s dividend’s were quite common? This shift in taxation could be interesting the way it plays out. Your thoughts on this is greatly appreciated thank you again for all your help.

Q: Hello, Can I get your take on how the markets react during a recession? It seems we are heading into a recession in 2023. Do markets drop further? Do company earnings drop? What sectors if any do you see doing okay during a recession? Do I hold off on buying stocks till middle of 2023 and just stick some money in short term gic/treasury bills? Trying to figure out how to prepare my portfolio for a recession. Thanks

My question: I am building TFSA’s for my kids . Could you please give me 5 long term holds either US or Canadian which you think hold decent growth prospects for the future for them .
