Q: Can you comment on any recent insider buying or selling for GUD. E.g. has the CEO bought any large chunks? I am curious if there has been some insider purchasing/selling either before or after the shelf filing. If there has been buying, what do you think are the odds that there might be an acquisition in the works. I bought GUD at $5 and am trying to decide whether to hold, sell, or top up. Because everything else in my portfolio has done so well this year (all fantastic 5i suggestions), GUD has decreased to 1.3% of total holdings.

Q: Hi Peter, re: your reply to Jamie re: GUD; why will earnings fall next year ? Aren't they currently close to zero ? Shouldn't the new mfg ability increase earnings ?
This is currently the sole loser in my portfolio (as I'm getting good at cutting losses before they get worse) but like many I've held on it to doggedly for years despite its chart since I really want Jonathan G to do well. There's definitely a lesson in that. Thanks, Paul

Q: Hi Gents,

Wondering if you could speak to the value of GUD shares.
My calculations are that there is $3.31/sh in cash, which at Friday's price of $5.29, leaves $1.98 for the rest of company.
At $1.98 the company ex cash is worth about $260M. My modeling shows a forward P/E ex cash below 8x. Plus you get the potential of another game-changing acquisition which would likely be very accretive.

What am I missing here at $5.30/sh??

Q: Good afternoon, I'm feeling grouchy about my TFSA today. Quite a few of my holdings are underwater. Tech is the only area that has shown me any growth. I am down 46% on XTC, down 80% on HWO, down 36% on GUD, down 6% on BCI, up 5% on DOL, and down 6% on SIS. I know I can't claim losses but is it time to dump some of these and redeploy. I don't need the cash and can be quite patient and I know my tech weightings are getting high but it seems as though that's where most of my winners are. How high would you let your tech weighting go in a TFSA that is a long term savings vehicle. Thoughts?

Q: Hello Peter,
I thought Electrovaya's numbers were decent and yet stock sold off. Was this sell on good news and do you think it has potential in energy space? I have small position on Xebec but was wondering to raise to full position as opposed to buying Greenlane for diversification? Also, any reason why Enwave is chugging higher as your previous comments were not that positive. What has changed? Finally, is it too late to enter Shopify? i am sort of glad to have held onto blackberry and finally got a bit of pay off today.. I am just wondering if Knight may do same in the future by surprising the market with good news (I know one cannot forecast but based on its history as a company it has not done much.). Thank you.

Q: I hold 1/2+ positions in XBC, WELL, LSPD, DPM, GUD in an attempt to add overall performance to my balanced portfolio. This group has performed well. I'm going to sell GUD and DPM. Your thoughts on adding to the rest of the holdings or adding something else like KXS. Any other stocks worth looking at?

Thank you.
Derek.
