Q: I am considering adding to these equities (ALA, BIP.UN, BN, CCA, CPX, DIR.UN, FTS, GSY, GWO, MFC, NWH.UN, TOU, TRP). Are there any you would not purchase more? In what order would you acquire for best overall combination of growth and dividend/distribution for the next two years.

Q: Could you provide the top (and rank) 3 or 4 stocks from each of the Income, Balanced and Growth portfolios to buy today.

Q: Between BAM and BEPC ...which do you prefer for income and growth in this current environment? I currently have a full position of BN for growth as well as a full position in BAM which provides some income but little growth as of late. I am considering selling BAM and moving to BEPC. I would appreciate your thoughts on this please.

Q: My daughter is starting a TFSA and as a full time student she doesn't have a lot of time. I have suggested a couch potato based strategy with rebalancing. I believe there are now ETF's that incorporate the whole strategy and the rebalancing and I am wondering if you have a few options to suggest with Canadian equity, international equity and a smaller bond component. Also if she wanted a buy once and hold forever type stock, what might be a few stocks to look at?

Hopefully this question goes through - I wrote up a similar one and even though it said success after submission the credits have not reduced and I don't see anything. I think this may have happened twice.

Q: I am not particularly proud to acknowledge that I own the above- but I do. ENGH and OTEX are in accounts that are structured for income and some growth, while DSG is in an account that is looking for primarily growth. Canadian traded is key for all. Looking for your input on these companies and whether there are better options that I am missing.
No hurry to reply; deduct credits as necessary.

How can anyone choose a "favourite" child amongst their four terrific "kids":)
But here it goes.

Which is your favourite "child" for this year's TFSA contribution. For a "buy and forget" period!
CSU or LMN or TOI or.....BN :)
I have them in varying amounts in different portfolios!
All of them are up though CSU and it's "family" have lost a lot of their lustre.

From a response from your office, I interpreted these five were suggested as still being good opportunities at present day prices. Did you mean full position or tranches etc?

Like many, I'm terrified of the impending pullback, especially with Tech names and what if prices fall by more than eg: 15%?

Secondly, what is your opinion on what might happen to the market, in the short term, if Trump keels over and dies?

I feel that I have constructed a well balanced equity portfolio of between 20-25 stocks, thanks in large part to you and your team.

I have identified the following as core positions, where each one represents between a 3-5% weighting:
