Q: Can you list out a 5 securities (US or Canada) which you feel are mispriced (ie. where the price is substantially lower than its true value)? I know folks that 5i are generally growth investors, but also know that Warren Buffet's approach is also widely respected.

Q: Good morning 5i
In an answer to an earlier question on bn you mentioned that 5i holds less than 4 per cent of this stock in the balanced portfolio. I found this a bit surprising, given your generally favourable attitude towards BN. I know there are numerous variables involved in choosing a stock for a portfolio. But I was just curious as to your reasoning

Second question has to do with LMN, which you are also favourable towards. I know that you cannot make individual portfolio decisions but i would appreciate your general opinion. I have received less than one percent of this stock from the split off and have been thinking about selling it or adding to it. The question comes down to whether it is an appropriate stock for a retired person, albeit one who can afford to and does take moderate risk, to hold. Although it is small and new, i am encouraged by its association with csu.
Thanks for your great service

Q: Hi group I just sold NVDA @ $425. The plan was to wait for a pullback so i could repurchase. Looking like that will not work out. So should I buy AMD or ADBE Or? ...or just wait for a market adjustment broad based

2nd question i presently own the follow stocks and would like to add to some to them. In What order and price would you buy or should i be patient and just wait?

Q: Dear amazing 5i employee,

I trust that you are well!

An analyst at 5i noted (in answer to one of questions) that there are dozens of trading opportunities available in the market right now. Would you be able to list some of those opportunities? By trading opportunities I mean simple trades (buy low, sell high).

Yours kindly,
David

Q: Hope you and the team (and readers) had a nice long weekend.

What looks “cheap” to you right now? I recognize that sometimes things are cheap for a reason. But in your view, what has been punished too much and likely to appreciate from here? 3m was one that I was considering as it is still down quite a bit and will recover in a better market (I assume—as everything seems to have its day). Thanks,

Jason

Q: I hold the listed equities/ ETF in my 14 year old grandson's RESP account. Given thee current environment what changes would you make in preparation for the next 4 years? I consider HFR is cash available.

Woule you consider adding some US listings for diversification? Given some current thinking regarding the US dollar would it be wiser to add Cdn listed ETFs of US companies? . What would be the tax implications of adding US listed companies that do not pay a dividend? Any paperwork?

Thanks very much. Take whatever credits are needed.

are there any stocks in the account that you would replace?,

Mike

Q: Prior to the December 2022 distribution of the new BAM, I believe that the old BAM (now BN) was trading with a dividend yield above 1%...perhaps around 1.25% or even 1.5% (?) As of this moment, the "new" BN trades at a 0.91% yield.

I usually use historical yield as a guide for my stock purchases. Am I able to make a direct yield comparison of today's BN vs. the former, or was the dividend affected in any way because of the distribution 6 months ago? If so, by approximately how much ??

Q: Hello,

TD believes the following on BN

After subtracting the market value of BN's stakes in BAM/BEP/BIP, the stock is ascribing negative value to the stake in BBU (~$1.75/share), real-estate (~$20.00/share), insurance (~$2.50/share), and carried interest (~$3.60/share). BN's ~$4bln of annual FCF provides considerable firepower to address the discount, although share buybacks must be weighed against the prospect of growing the franchise. We believe that BN's conviction in the intrinsic value of its stock price is evidenced by ~$750mm of TTM share repurchases and ~ $100mm of share purchases in the open market by the senior executive team.

Couple questions
1. This is the first time I have seen the value of BN being just reflected as just BIP,BEP, and BAM. Would you agree with this.

2. If you agree, isn’t it extremely compelling to get BBU, Reinsurance, oaktree, and property for free?

3. Would you agree with the $61 USD target or 90% upside?

Thank you!
