Q: What's the reason behind the current slip of BEP.UN/BEPC and BIP.UN/BIPC? These two combos should be steady industrial stocks and not subject to the stumble currently affecting the tech stocks? I know both had been up nicely over the past year but that's no reason to reverse so sharply of late. Any insight you can share? Thanks.

Q: The differential between BEP.UN and BEPC is down to a reasonable 7.8%. But between BIP.UN and BIPC the differential is very high 23.7%.
Can you explain the reason for this discrepancy. I believe this would be an ideal time to sell BIPC and use the proceeds to buy BIP.UN. Do you agree.
Thanks for your great service.

Q: The drop in price in the last couple weeks for these two stocs has been considerable. Is there something more than the Texas problem involved here? Is its present price attractive for the next few years? I sorryfully missed your praise for Magna a couple months ago by bidding somwhat lower when it was $68.

Q: With utilities, I believe 5i likes BEP best for management and outlook for the future, but based on current price, which of the above 5 energy stocks represents the best value? For my own learning, I would appreciate knowing what main metrics you are using to determine value?
Thanks!!

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

Would you attribute Algonquin's 'relative weakness' compared to Brookfield Renewable Partners due to Algonquin's Texas exposure? Is Fortis in a similar situation as Algonquin? Please rank these stocks, with a rationale for your choices. Thanks in advance.

Q: Every time I've looked at BAM or related companies I see a negative EPS (over a period of time). Everyone loves the parent and most of the subsidiaries and the buyers are usually rewarded. I don't understand how this works. I can't think of many companies with a similar profile of consistent success and apparently consistent losses. Is it all about cash flow?

Q: For New money to initiate positions which 5 stocks in each of the portfolios would you recommend investing. On a related note, is there a reason you don’t put buy or hold or buy up to prices in any of the portfolios, or is your stance if it is in there it is a buy regardless of how much a stock may have run up since it was originally recommended.

Q: Hi Team,
I'd like to start positions in an aggressive growth portfolio in the artificial intelligence, genomics, renewable energy (and EV) sectors (2-3 positions per sector). Holding time 2-5 years.
Also considering Bionano Genomics (BNGO).
1. Please rank the sectors for expected growth. Are there any others I should consider? Are they already overbought/overpriced?
2. Please rank the stocks in each sector for expected growth. Are there any others I should consider?
Thanks!

Q: I am planning to buy BEP on this dip. BEPC has dropped from a high of 80 to 64. BEP,UN has only dropped from 63 to 59. In the last few days, BEPC has dropped by 5% each day while BEP.UN only dropped by 2%
Can you explain the difference?
Which one should I buy given the difference in price drop?
I can buy in either my RRSP or my corp, doesn't matter. I guess if you tell me BEPC, I'd put in my corp, and if you say BEP.UN, I'd put in RRSP, would that be correct?
Thanks.

Q: Hi,
I have two questions on my TFSA:
1) Bought ENB at around @49 back in 2018, going no where since then (other than dividends). Is it good time to trade for BEP? (ENB is currently my only stock on the fossil fuel/energy space).
2) If I buy BEP for TFSA, which one makes most sense, BEP as PEPC? US vs. Canada-listed?
Thank you for your guidance as always.

Q: Same question as Maureen from the other day:

On a scale of 1-10, please rate the following stocks for both growth and risk over the next year (1 being low, 10 being high): ATZ, WELL, XBC, WSP, PHO, LSPD, KXS, CSU, BEP.UN. Many thanks.

Q: Morning TEAM 5i. After reading Ryan's piece, I find myself wondering when the next market pull-back will happen and just how deep it will be. I agree with his thesis that many of these 'bubble stocks' will pay the price of lacking real fundamental value. It reminded me that perhaps I should rebuild, for lack of a better term, the 'Core' part of my portfolio. I'm considering the companies indicated above and wondering if you also would consider them "Core Holdings'. (Core, being companies that are fundamentally sound, pay a bit of a dividend and should survive a sizeable correction in the market). Also, if you think I'm missing any companies I would appreciate it if you would suggest them. As always, I look forward to your much appreciated guidance.
