Q: I understand from reading the latest report, your confidence in the company has come down considerably. How would you rate your confidence in management to turn things around on the revenue side and do you still consider the stock a good long term hold at these level? I had a full position but the stock has been down a lot in the last 2 years. I see many A ratings in your grade system but an overall B rating concerns me a bit. I am wondering if now is the time to move on to better opportunities? Thank you for your guidance.

Q: Hello 5i team:
Without editorializing or getting too “grumpy old man”, it seems we have a productivity issue in Canada, and now a labour force participation and perhaps also a work ethic issue. Every employer where I reside is bemoaning “people problems”.
I’m wondering if you have done any work on identifying companies that generate high free cash flow with relatively fewer employees? I know you have mentioned ATA in the past as maybe a way to play the theme, but I’m thinking of companies that are already there because of the nature of their business.
Thanks

Q: I have recently started committing cash to the tech sector and own LSPD and SHOP. I was wondering if you could provide 3-5 CDN listed names other than these that represent the best growth opportunities.
Thanks

Q: These six companies comprise my “Small Cap Canadian Technology” holdings. As I like their long term prospects, I am content to hold all of them for their recovery potential over the next few years. However, I would like a second opinion from you: would you agree they are all good companies worth holding, or would you switch any of them out for better quality names? If so, what would be your suggested replacements and why?
Q: Finally,Engh started to make acquistions ,and stablizing & moving up. Is it time to buy some? Txs for u usual great services & views
Q: Engh looks to be using its cash to buy its own stock. Does your feeds show this as well?
Thx

Q: Pinterest and Docusign have recently replaced CEOs suggesting a need to change strategies. They, and companies like Enghouse seems to be facing uphill battles to regain the positive outlook they had a couple of years ago.
Is it worth sticking with these companies to see if they improve, or is it wiser to take my lumps in small positions in these companies and consolidate into bigger positions in companies that offer more promise going forward like GOOG and BAM?

Q: Dear 5i,
I am thinking of eventually purchasing ENGH in the next couple of months for a 2% position in my TFSA.
Can you comment on their balance sheet. Are they pretty much debt free?
Can you see them continuing to increase the dividend every year?
Do they have significant insider ownership and are they buying back stock?
Is the recent price of $28.43 dirt cheap?
This stock will be a good test of my patience if I purchase it.
thanks

Q: Good Morning 5i Team,
I hold TOI, CTS, ENGH in one account as my small cap technology allocation. Price action of course has been brutal since last fall. Would you continue to hold all three names or would you recommend getting rid of one or more ?? Would you add to any ?? Do you have any alternatives that may have better risk / reward in an eventual tech recovery ?? Thanks very much for your help. DL

Q: In a recent question you answered that a switch from engh to syz is a good move today. Can you expand on that recommendation a bit more as SYZ doesn't appear to be a clear winner over ENGH.
1. The div is bigger but how secure based on the SYZ high payout ratio.
2. ENGH is bigger and would likely be less risky and equally benefit from the eventual stock market recovery
3. ENGH has historically been a highly rated company by 5i ( still showing as a rarified earth A-)
Unfortunately I hold ENGH in a registered account so cant justify the switch to harvest a loss. But I am wondering if it is time to move on...5 yr hold, hybrid balanced/income portfolio follower who has been slowly shifting from balanced to income. I do like high yield Canadian small caps although I find I am migrating more towards larger more stable names as I near retirement.

Q: Hi team
I am thinking of replacing Engh.ca with CSU.ca
I already have a position on DSG and KXS
is that a wise choice, or I could re-locate the funds 1/3 to each of CSU, DSG and KXS?
many thanks
Michael
lost faith in Engh

Q: wondering if you think it would make sense to sell ENGH (cost $15-ish) and buy SYZ at this time?
Q: I would like to capture a tax loss on Otex. Would Engh be a good proxy while I wait to decide whether to rebuy Otex. As always, thanks for your help.
Q: I have to take issue with (IMHO) inconsistencies in answers to related questions by 5i personnel. Because the answers are never signed I'm not sure who is answering what.
My issues are with my question on ENGH and a subsequent question on ENGH by Ronald
ON May 26th I questioned holding ENGH and a portion of your response stated "We continue to like the long-term prospects and we would be fine with the stock for a long-term hold. We think ENGH has a solid recovery potential, once the market calms down and inflation risks peak."
To me that was a rather generic response that I've seen you write on many stocks." Your comments were IMHO not negative on the stock, so I decided to hold.
Then on June 9 you repsonded to Ronald : "ENGH has missed a lot of its recent earnings expectations" and "We believe that time will be needed before this company reverses its momentum and it finds its footing. We would prefer to sit this one out for the time being."
Now, I realize that my question was pre earnings, I believe Ronalds' was post earnings. BUT had I had the comments you gave to Ronald I probably would have sold the position.
I found the second answer much more pertinent and salient and would have made my action very different.

Q: After selling ENGH yesterday, I am reviewing the above holdings and only want to keep stocks that have a potential to generate decent future income, over the next 5 years or may be acquired by another company. These are long-term holdings and I don't need the cash, but could use the tax loss. Don't want to sell any company with a positive future. Any of the above holdings that you would sell now?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Would you have a proxy for ENGH and would you buy it back in 30 days? If not which stock(s) in the same sector would you recommend that is also beaten down but has good upside potential going forward?
Thanks for your service?
