Q: I hold ENF. I recall that, in the past, you have expressed a preference for ENB - perhaps the former being more for income and the latter being more for growth. Is this correct? Is there any other reason to prefer one over the other? (Perhaps I should consider switching.)

Q: Over the past 12 months the charts of both companies show a distinct downward trend -- seems to be correlated with price of oil.
Shouldn't the stocks trade more the volume of oil & gas that moves through their pipes?

Q: Hi, could you please rank these 6% plus income stocks purely in terms of relative security of the dividend. Any that you feel might little too risky for a conservative retired investor. Thanks.
Q: I just read about EEP's dividend cut and stock reaction (G&M - June 9).
Are the causes likely to spill over into ENF?
I am more concerned with income rather than capital.

Q: Should we start to avoid companies like IPL and ENF because of excess world oil supplies and automobiles switching to electricity in the not too distance future ? For long term buy and hold that is .
Q: Would you recommend one over the other of these two, and if so, why?

Q: Having announced an intention to reduce its holdings in Enbridge Inc. (ENB), has Holdings indicated the extent of the reduction and how the funds will be reinvested? Why would they do this except as part of a long term goal of being an independent conglomerate rather than a funnel for ENB?

Q: Team,
Just like your thoughts on the listed stocks and which you would add ( in some order of preference) to an existing portfolio skewed to secure dividends and modest growth with a target 7-8% combined dividend and growth. Conversely is any one a definite NO.
Thx

Q: Hello Peter and team, I know you like Endbridge (ENB)very much, you actually have it in two of your model portfolios. According to TMX Money, ENB has a yield of 4.2% and a P/E ratio of 28.0. On the other hand ENF has a yield of 6.2% and a P/E ratio of 15.2. If you had to invest in just one of them today, would you still select ENB rather than ENF? If yes, could you comment on the rationale for doing so. Regards, Gervais

Q: Hi Peter and Team
Enjoyed your BNN show and picks as always!
I am reasonably balanced in my RSP with your positions in your growth and balanced portfolios but now, at age 68 have to convert my RSP to RIF in a few years. I am considering transferring most "in Kind" and would be looking at 10-20 stocks to hold that are good income generators. Would you consider listing 10 good stocks to continue to hold in a RIF ?
Should I try and hold more "conservative" dividend growers ?
Would you suggest I sell to cash and purchase larger positions of the financials, for example; or is it better to stay balanced?
Complicated question but I appreciate the advice as I have done quite well from you previous guidance
Thanks,
Peter

Q: Hi, am I correct in assuming that since ENB did a secondary (vs. Treasury) offering of ENF shares that it is not dilutive to ENF's shares outstanding, EPS or dividends? Also since ENB plans to do more ENF secondary offerings going forward might this overhang ENF's future share performance? Thanks.
Q: The sell of on Tue. Mar. 28 seems to be rather extreme, A fellow investor pointed out "looking at the ENB chart (US chart) it looks ugly to me like its ready to take a dive (head and shoulders formation) ; the way I'm seeing it is if ENB looks bearish then ENF is probably going to take a dive as well which brings me back to the same question, why did ENF sell off so bad. The chart is here: https://tvc-invdn-com.akamaized.net/data/tvc_4a2816752f087df5dc33999672d10282.png

Q: Can you give me your thoughts on the following 3 companies, PPL, ALA, ENF, do you think this a good time to add 5% position for each of these 3. I currently hold KWH.UN (5%), BCE (5%), BEP.UN (5%), ZDV (25%), ZPR (35%), and ZRE (25%), I am up currently up 26% on ZPR, thinking of reducing my exposure to ZPR znd add these 3 names.
