Thanks

Q: Would you buy cpx.pr.a for income and some growth?
Q: Good morning, Peter.
Re: CPX
I own Capital Power for a little growth and a good dividend, and have seen both since I bought it last year. Latest quarter's results are not finding favor with the market but is this a situation where you just sit back and ignore the short-term noise or should the stock be a candidate for sale?
Thank you and kind regards,
Geoff

Q: Good morning,
In a RRSP acct we own CPX.PR.A (Capital Power Corp. cumulative rate reset sr 1 prd). Bought in Dec/13 at $18.49 + a 2.3% commission. It is at 20.77 now and we are being advised to sell it today. We are just about retired and the yield looks good to us for income. Would you advise selling or holding it and why? We appreciate what we are learning from 5i.
Thank you for your insights and assistance, Len

Q: We have full positions in the 5 major Cdn banks and a 1/2 posn in PWF. We have smaller posns in 3 utes, BEP, EMA and NPI. We rely on dividends for income so I'm considering dropping PWF for CPX, for better dividend and stability. Comment?
Q: Peter and team
What are your comments on CPX? Are there other utilities that off an equivalent yield that you would recommend instead?
Thanks
Phil

Q: CPX earnings again look good to my uneducated eye. Do you agree?
Q: Good evening 5i. I am contemplating taking a position in Capital Power (CPX). I like it for the yield, but I also wondered what your insight was for growth potential. I'm looking for steady Eddies in my risk profile.
Have a great weekend. Brian

Q: Hello.
CPX Capital Power. Reading in the economist how conventional power producers in Germany got sqeezed and squitched,by the increased share of renewable energy, losing more than half their market cap in a few years, How do you view the possible impact of new solar and wind getting subsidized at the expense of established power producers. My question is specifically for CPX which has itself a small interest in wind farms. I have sent you a copy of the articles in this week Economist. Thanks.

Q: BNN announced yesterday that Emera (ema) was buying 3 power stations in new England for $451M from Capital Power (CPX). Is this good or bad (or in between) for either one? TIA

Q: Hi, from what I can tell, Capital Power had good 2nd Q results, and now expects to exceed annual guidance. Yet the stock is near 52 week low. What has investors concerned, and do you see this as a good stock to buy right now?
Q: Re CPX: On April 13 you answered "Capital Power will likely be completed after the next quarterly report, on April 26." When do you expect an update? What's your opinion on the stock - to hold or sell at loss? I am down about 14% after the recent drop.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I believe CPX released results in early march. Will you be doing an update soon?
Thank you

Q: Cpx has fallen in price to where its dividend is over 6%.
Is Cpx a wise investment for yield at this time? Do you expect still further falls in price?
Is there some other play in the utility sector which is a better investment? Thanks

Q: CPX announced a new rate-reset preferred today. My question is, for the fixed income side of a portfolio, do you a) consider prefs an equal alternative to bonds and b) in this case in particular, would you be better off going for the common that has a 5.8% yield today rather than rate re-set that currently has a 4.5% yield? Utilities are likely in the 7th inning right now- is either a solid long-term investment in a non-registered account? Thanks in advance.
