Q: WFT is down over 50%. Is this a stock split or a disaster for investors?
Q: Dec 17 question by Darcy re "one forest company to add to portfolio" . . . I presume your answer was Western Forest Products (WEF) and not WFT (West Fraser Timber)?
Q: Hi Team, I would like to add a forest products company to my portfolio. If you were to only hold one forestry company which one would you pick?
Thanks as always

Q: Thank you very much for your answer to my question re WFT.
Does this mean that we can expect to see the price erode to more or less half the current price between now the middle of January, with no increase in the shares held?

Q: Could you comment on WFT which declared a stock dividend share equivalent to a 2:1 split & is it a good strategy in a TSFA account?
Thanks

Q: First, I often wondered what would happen to Alaris (AD) should one of their investment goes south - now I know. And it is the reason why I have stayed clear - the risk is higher than it appears.
I'm at loss to understand what the "due bill" announcement from WFT means. And I am wondering about your take on the company.

Q: Hi Peter and team, I'm thinking of sell GDL Goodfellows could you please recommend a better stock in this sector. Thank you
Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team,
I purchased West Fraser WFT at its peak in early November. Its down over 10%. What are the prospects going forward. Is there a slowdown in the industry that would push the price down further. Would this present a buying opportunity in an industry with good longer term prospects?
Thank you. Linda

Q: Re WFT: Could you please shed some light on why this stock is down over 10% since peaking after earnings. I cannot find any news. Thank you
Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team, I would like to add a lumber company to my portfolio. I am looking at West Fraser WFT, Canfor CFP, and Western Forest WEF. Based on location with respect to beetle problems, products and markets, which of these companies would be best to buy. Also, should I wait for a pullback in the sector?
Thanks so much.
Linda

Q: What do you think about a company like NBD given LP's take over offer for Ainsworth? Forestry stocks have fallen back a bit lately. LUMBER prices seem to be climbing again. Given this, do you see value in this sector and which companies would you recommend? Will this offer cause a run in these other stocks?
Q: Hi, do you believe the run in lumber stocks is over done? Is there still some steam in WFT and CFP?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Would you recommend WFT at its current price?
Also would like to know if you recommend any U.S.Bank stocks? I'm looking at the JPM or Citibank.

Q: Hi Peter and crew,
I would be interested in your views on the lumber/timber sector in Canada and if you have favorite stocks. TMB.TO,CFF.V,CFP.TO, and RFP.TO all seem to have been beaten up a bit lately. Good time to start a position?
Many Thanks, you run a great show!

Q: I missed the recovery in lumber sector over the past year and a half but I see there has been a recent drop in lumber prices and a pull back in some of the stocks (i.e. West Fraser, Canfor). What are your thoughts on lumber prices moving forward and would this recent pull back be an opportunity to participate in this sector? If yes, any companies you would recommend?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: You commented about four months ago on Western Forest Products (WEF) and I'm wondering what your thoughts on the company are currently. The sector seems to have some strong momentum and the company looks to have had a good start to the year based on their news releases over the past few months.
Thanks,
Scott
Thanks,
Scott
Q: What would be your pick between WFT, CFP, WY-N, and PCL. Is there a chance Italy and US politics could derail US housing recovery. Your analysis please. Thanks.
Q: What is your favorite Canadian lumber company at this point of the U.S. housing recovery (if the recovery is real)?
Q: Hi guys. Would you buy a timber stock now or has the runup overpriced them? If you would, would it be NBD, WFT, ADN or something else?
