Many thanks guys.
Many thanks guys.
Q: My belief is that the China/US trade talk will ultimately get resolved (or at least trend to a more positive tone, especially as we head closer to the Nov 2020 election). Would you be a buyer of Teck today? Full position? Half position?
Q: What are your thoughts on buying this stock
- Teck Resources Limited Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (TECK.B)
- Teck Resources Limited Class A Multiple Voting Shares (TECK.A)
Q: What is your opinion in Teck. I am surprised to see that no questions had been asked in the database.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: I see you like this company here? Is this not the wrong time to buy resource companies? Better to buy when there is a recession and PE goes through the roof - ready for next business cycle. Pay no dividends. I don't see a case to buy any of them; so, would be interested in your rationale.

- Teck Resources Limited Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (TECK.B)
- Lundin Mining Corporation (LUN)
- Hudbay Minerals Inc. (HBM)

Q: Could I please have your opinion on these 2 companies I consider selling to re-invest the funds in different companies?
Q: Hi 5i team
I have a 2% position of TECK.B that I did not sell when you adjusted your BE portfolio. I am thinking of selling it but only if you think I could have better performance from one of the following BE stocks...I am missing from the Balanced Equity portfolio AEM, ATD.B, BYD.UN, GC, SU,...I have but could top up CCL.B, MG, PBH, MX. All other BE stocks are at acceptable levels.This is in a RRSP account and I plan to hold for a while. No worries about sector weightings. Thank you, Hope you had a great family day. J

Q: What is your opinion on Teck Resources warning this morning that profit will drop by nearly 1/3 from previous estimate, main reason they are blaming the discount of WCS to WTI? But that situation is now behind since the spread had been narrowing, would you buy it on weakness here?
Q: Do you think a tactical switch from TECK.B to PKI would make sense at this time? With full awareness that this is a sector change.
Q: Other than not adding any further value to the company is there any other reason why this company should be sold?

- Celestica Inc. (CLS)
- Whitecap Resources Inc. (WCP)

Q: Good morning,
I currently do not own the above listed equities from the BE Portfolio which I follow pretty closely. Are there any you would not recommend purchasing right now? Thanks for your counsel. I am watching sector allocations.
Ted

Q: I am planning to realize losses on the above companies to offset capital gains with a plan to repurchase after 30 days. In order to maintain sector exposure in the intervening period I would like identify proxies for each holding. My thinking is as follows:
TECK.B == XMA
BNS == TD
TFII == ZIN
NFI == ZIN
WEF == CFP
VET == XEG
WCP == XEG
Please review my suggested proxies and add / amend as needed. Alternatively, if you think I would simply be better off holding cash until repurchasing please say so. Thank-you very much for your help.

Q: Hi Guys,
I sold WCP for the tax loss in October. Since then it has declined from $8 to $5. Any suggestions as to when to buy back, or would you suggest any other replacement, say VET?
Still hanging on to Teck at a big decline. Was concerned that they would bring on a partner for their copper mine in Peru. Any point in waiting longer or will a deal not be of any impact?
Thanks,
KC
