Q: I have been very happy with my WSP investment now at 100% gain. Out of the 2 companies which one do expect to grow faster? And if I were to split my investment how much would you allocate for each?

Q: I have held the above stocks in my open account for several years. All stocks have shown a positive return except for BNS which is down approximately 20%. I have some cash to invest in the market and would like to purchase additional shares in some of these companies for a 3 to 5 year investment. Please rate the potential growth of these companies and rank the companies based upon the projected growth over the next 3 to 5 years. Thank you
Q: Hi, What are your thoughts on owning Stantec, with respect to its current valuation and future growth vis a vis its competitors ? We have a small position and looking to add, to increase our exposure to Industrial sector. Is it prudent to wait for the quarterly results, due in a couple of weeks or take advantage of current weakness due to markets ? What would be a reasonable price range to buy ? Thank You

Q: I identified 9 companies that out performed the TSX 60 plus 3 energy companies that I believe have a bright future. All 12 failed the MACD. 5 are trading at double digit discounts to their 52 week highs; dsg, shop,l,tou and cve. Q: Hello, I read with your interest your answer to Kolbi's question yesterday about growth stocks for TFSA. Regarding STN, it has an amazing chart and momentum. I see that WSP is in its peer group and is in 5i's BE portfolio. Would STN be preferred over WSP? Please provide reasons for yes or no. Many thanks.
Q: My daughter just turned 18 and we opened her TFSA account this week. Trying to spark her interest in investing I was screening for some young hip stocks I could put her onto ( gaming, social media, clothing brands, etc) ....saddly in Canada I didn't find anything. So went to my second option which is " work related stocks" which in my case is engineering and my daughter going off to school in the fall in engineering as well. I have owned WSP since before the merger ( Genivar) so done very well. Stantech is your holding in the growth portfolio although I am concerned with the strong run over the past year and a looming ( hopefully shallow) recession that it might not be a great time to get into the name over WSP which has done well but lagged a bit more this year. So WSP or STN for a 30+ yr hold, or look elsewhere short term due to sector risk with the looming slowdown.

Q: I'm heavily weighted, the Qs / semis, can you name some alternatives to balance my portfolio please?
Q: Hello, Stantec stock has seen good momentum and jumped from $79 to over $83, since, Friday, last week. Are you aware of any specific developments, or it's part of the relief rally in the infrastructure sector, after passing of Debt Ceiling bill in US. I am aware that Stifel bumped STN price target to $93 from $86, on Monday. Is it worth increasing our present 1.5% weighting in STN ( we are underweight in Industrials ) and if so, what will be a reasonable price level to add ? Or, it's prudent to wait for the stock to settle back to $78-79 level ? Thank You
Q: Hello, With reference to your Model Portfolio changes to trim Stantec's present 2.5% weight to 2%, in Growth portfolio ( start price $68 - current price $77.50), could you elaborate on the rationale, a little more, for a better understanding. If the valuation is stretched, is the current price is expensive, in your opinion ? Also. generally, if you like a company and the sector, the model portfolio will hold a position 2.5-3.5% or higher.
We have noted your recent comments on this company and, decided to initiate a 1.5% position at $78, after the recent pullback, following company's results. We had no infrastructure/consultancy exposure before in our portfolios and have been low on industrial sector Just wondering, if our move makes sense.
Thank You

Q: An analyst on BNN said today that he feels Stantec's share price could double in the next 5 years, as they do a lot of business in the USA, which is spending a lot on infrastructure improvements, which should benefit Stantec. He felt their headcount in 5 years could be roughly where WSP Global's headcount is now, with some of the growth coming from acquisitions. Wondering what you think of Stantec's growth potential over the next 5 years, and also about their debt levels. Looking at the balance sheet, the debt to cash flow looks a little high.
Q: Hello, Both these companies reported solid results, after market yesterday, but their stock is dropping today. What would be a decent price to start a new position ? Thank You
Q: does the STN decent report this quarter give you some comfort on WSP result to be released tonight? Or are they very different "animals"?
Q: can you suggest some good CAD and US listed stocks that have good exposure to the water theme that I can do some further research on. It seems water is a very precious commodity with our changing climate issues.
thanks
