Q: Hello, I am wondering where you guys can put the floor price for that stock (where is become so cheap that big investors will buy the stock) considering the fact that it seems that there is no institutional appetite for that stock even if it is falling like a rock and become cheaper...

The apparent "cheap" valuation of the company at this point does not seem to attract any big players and even if I believe in the company's potential.

I am scratching my head due to the fact that there is actually mostly short sellers attracted to the stock and as the share price keep falling, the company seems less and less it seems to me that the company lost control of its own destiny.

Q: Hi there, can you please comment or provide analysis on how CXR, IT, AYA and others within the portfolios would be affected due to the Brexit vote coming up soon, considering revenues from European region and due to FX? I believe Brexit vote may be causing stock price weakness for CXR, maybe? Also, would anyone want to take out CXR before the Brexit vote knowing how volatile Europe would be if England exited? Thanks!

Q: As a follow-up to CXR, I believe the uncertainty of the Brexit vote is also impacting share price, since AMCO is based out of the UK. Word on the street is any offer from Apollo Global Management is depenent on Brexit not going through. We may not see any recovery in share price until after the vote.

Regardless of the above, the uncertainty offers yet another opportunity to acquire CXR shares at a very attractive valuation (considering management offered good guidance at the last earnings call).

Q: I hold these 3 plus XLV in the health care portion of my portfolio. Not adverse to risk but I am wondering whether CXR is worth the grief. Is there a case for focussing on the others, or does the risk/reward of CXR make it worthwhile holding?

Q: i own some concordia, not a huge position like i have in knight-- by the way peter you have been right on on knight, this one i have owned it from the beginning, stable little downside because of cash, huge upside.
so my question is what is the fair value of concordia today and what is the fair value 6-12 months out if their earnings are reasonably good, they continue paying down some debt etc etc.forget the buyout. and why would they consider anything on a buyout less than 65. considering they did a financing at that price.dave

Q: Lots happening here today. I understood from all the different sources that there was an auction and identified bidders were Blackstone, Carlisle and Apollo Global and maybe others. Blackstone and Carlisle are out for now because their bids were not competitive. There is a deadline on this auction.

Who knows what is true here but is this a real process. Wouldn't there have to be something more formal that would require a news release?

Thanks for you input.

Q: Well, that was a wild turn of events.

Buy more? Sell or hold for better days ahead?

If the private equity firms have indeed walked away, does that make the business less valuable or should it still recover into the $40-50 range once the hysteria dies down? Put another way, was it at $45 because it was worth that or is it a $35 stock with hype and upside priced in on the deal.

Thanks

Q: Morning,

CXR having a bit of an off day today. I wonder if you think the recent strength has been based on business fundamentals or speculation of a deal?

Assuming that there is no deal to be found, I think you might still find it a worthy hold as it was recently a 5i top pick on BNN. Is that still the case? What would be the argument in favour of buying more?

If a deal were to occur, within what time frame might it be reasonable to expect?

Q: Hello Peter et al.

I was watching BNN market call the other night and a question came in about CXR and the guest was a technical analyst. He was stating that the seasonal trend for medical stocks is from early June through to the end of Sep each year on average. I currently own CXR and CRH and I am up nicely on CXR and currently up slightly on CRH. I was at one point up almost 100% on CXR (currently 30%) and up 25% on CRH. I have been at times frustrated with both stocks to see them swing all the way back to 0% gain in CXR and 33% loss in CRH from my purchase price at times through the year.. These stocks seem to swing heavily throughout the year. How do you know when is a time to sell and take the profit and to get back in later if the time arises? I seem to be a good buyer of stocks at times but not a good seller. I bought into some of your recommended stocks like CCL.B and DSG and sold them when I made 20% but after I sold they kept rising. CCL.B went up over 100% and DSG went up to 70% where I bought them. You have held onto these two in the portfolio. What is your criteria for selling or still holding on even though you have made a good return.

Regards,

Brendan

Q: On Ron's question about short interest on CXRX, it is important to note the settlement date on the website is May 13. This is the same day Concordia released first quarter earnings and then the stock price has increased significantly. I suspect there was some short covering and the next update to the website for short interest will be key.
