Q: I hold the above stocks in my TFSA. Since they pay dividends in USD I plan to journal these holdings to the USD side of my TFSA. Is there any risk that it could be deemed an over contribution by the CRA? I hear of cases where transferring TFSA assets from one account to another causes this over-contribution.

Q: I saw this news release and would be grateful for an interpretation.

If shares are only offered to the public, I suppose that includes institutional investors? Also, I'd be interested to know how the market works in this situation. ie, if supply of shares exceeds demand, will the price keep dropping until they're all sold? It is about 4.6% of their market cap.
I would like to purchase shares and would appreciate guidance on when you would suggest this could be done.
Many thanks.
ps. I very much appreciated your frank article 2 days ago on the financialpost.com

Q: I own both of these companies. Looking to increase my exposure to renewable energy companies. Looking to the future, do you see any greater upside in share price for either one or should I just increase my investment in each one? Do you know of any other Canadian companies that are comparable or may even have more chance of increasing in value as we move forward. Both of these companies are held in my RRIF account. Thanks for your much respected advice.

Q: Hello 5i. I would like your opinion on the renewable energy industry. These companies seem to have done well over the yr. Would you classify these as being cyclical and what would there cycle be? I am looking at getting into these but find their valuations expensive currently. Do you see a catalyst for their prices falling in the near future or do they have momentum on their side?

Q: I hold the above stocks in my portfolio. Thinking of adding QSR. Your thoughts. Or should I keep my cash for better opportunities during tax loss period ? BEW and PNG are my play money. Playing PNG with house money.

Q: I am looking for a revenue opportunity in $US and AQN:US pops up as a possibility. There are no Q/A on the US dividend providing version of AQN and I would appreciate your views on this aspect if possible. Thank you. In follow up to my question on Algonquin/$US, from the list of Canadian companies paying $US dividends, which stand out for 3-5 year revenue? Thank you.

Q: I am aiming for a 20-stock (or slightly less) portfolio of dividend payers. So each position will be 5% or slightly more.

In the pipeline / utility sectors I currently have ENB, TRP and BEP.UN. I am hoping to add one of the stocks below. I have a preference for good dividend growth and good management, but would prefer not to have too much overlap with BEP.UN if possible. Mind you, I suppose BEP.UN is quite diversified geographically which might make a case for being different anyway (your opinion ?). Which one would be the best fit, or is BEP.UN enough ?......

Canadian Utilities (CU)
Fortis (FTS)
Emera (EMA)
Algonquin Power (AQN)

Thanks.
Jim
