Q: The recent chart for AC showed unremitting decline so I sold to lock in my gains. Also, I was concerned that rising oil prices would mean increased fuel costs for AC going forward. What is your outlook for AC ? Will the potential pilots strike at WJA have any effect on the price of AC ?

Q: Algonquin Power which I hold looks like on the chart like a set of stairs going to nowhere. Also, Air Canada is not much better. Do you see any hope for these 2 companies in the next 6 months? When I tried to type in the stock symbol it would not allow me to put it in.

Vanguard U.S. Total Market Index ETF (VUN)
Q: What are you thoughts on buying these 2 stocks and can you recommend a good US divident paying ETF purchased with CAD - VUN ?
Q: Air Canada shares have been one of the best performing airline stocks over the past couple of years and the company has recently posted record results for 2017. What is your outlook for the share price over the next 6 to 12 months?
Q: Good Morning All,
I've been watching AC retreat over the past few sessions. I have a half position. Do you think this would be a good time to top up to a full position?

Q: For a long-term hold, based on current valuations, between Air Canada or Westjet, which Canadian airline of the 2 would you recommend and why?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Air Canada profits went up (even after correcting for one-time tax recovery), but stock price went down. Any idea why ? Were expectations higher ?
Q: One of the things you don't get investing in airlines is peace of mind. That being said, I am up substantially on Air Canada over the past few months. I am always watching to see if the steam has run out of its stock rise, however, and it has been trending steadily lower now for the last couple of weeks. Can you tell me if there is any company specific or industry news I've missed which might suggest a problem? Would you recommend this stock today?

Q: Howdy! The Kiki Delaney chapter in "Market Masters" has inspired me to invest more in Quebec-based equities. I already have BCE, CAE, CNR & GUD. Please rank the top 3 in this list (or other Quebec-based equities that I didn't list) to add right now purely on long-term (3-5 yrs) appreciation (value + dividends).
Thank you,
David L

Q: I want to buy AC but I only have cash in my USD cash account (non-registered). If I buy it on the US side will I be dinged for the withholding tax? Is the US ticker ACDVF? Thanks, John.
Q: Hi,
Air Canada has had a nice pop today...I'm reluctant to hold an airline stock for too long, but all the airlines seem to be doing well right now. Do you see much more upside?

Q: How much do you think the hurricanes in the Caribbean will impact Air Canada earnings and share price in the next couple of quarters? Thanks!
Q: Can I get your opinion on Air Canada?
Q: The 8% gain of the Cdn dollar over the past few weeks could have a huge impact on stocks like NFI and others in a negative way.
With the Cdn dollar on a terror lately what sectors if any would stand to gain from this currency move and what would be two individual stocks that you think could gain by the US/Cdn exchange rate moving closer to par.
Always appreciate your perspective.
Thank you
Terry

Q: Do you see good growth with Air Canada for the next 2-3 years? What is the outlook for the industry? Any better name for this theme? Thanks!
Q: 5i, in the past answers you were lukewarm to AC, but the stock has performed very well. Given Canada's population make up (international travel) and their new planes, isn't it the great stock to own at this point in time? I owned it from $9 to $13 but didn't follow your rule of not selling a winner stock unless there is a material change.
Q: Do you have any thoughts on Air Canada......up about 30% in a week?
