Q: I am modeling a portfolio after your balanced portfolio (with the occasional stock from your growth portfolio as a replacement) and already hold your other suggestions in the industrial and consumer area. Looking at adding one of the above 4 stocks this week. (DOO would be in place of MG if chosen). What would be your suggestion and why? Thanks!
Q: Hi Team, I can't find any news explaining WSP's 7.3% pop on Sept. 6. Have you picked up anything? Thank you. Michael
Q: Good day,
I currently have 2600$ in cash in my TFSA investment portfolio. I was looking to add from the your Income portfolio. What would would recommend from this portfolio?

Q: There is only cash available in a LIRA, aka no cash in a non-registered account or TFSA.
At the same time, I would like to invest in three new positions - MG, TFII and WSP for a balanced portfolio. I have read in the past 5iR thought it preferable to hold MG in a non-registered account because of the cyclicality of the business but that if held in a registered account, then might want to trade around the cycles. I would like your take of holding these three companies in a LIRA that will start to be drawn down in about 2 years but will span, hopefully with good ageing, many years.....Thanks....Tom

I'm reviewing the two recently posted reports and was wondering which of the 2 would be considered higher growth?

Q: Hello, 60 year old investor looking to add to rrsp and tfsa. Which stocks in the above list would you be comfortable buying now and which would you rate as watch now and maybe buy later?
Thanks, Michael
Thanks, Michael
Q: Can you please comment on the earnings for $WSP.
Thanks Valter
Thanks Valter
Q: In May and July, a couple of members wondered if it was time to move on from STN (and go to WSP) due to non-performance and you suggested it was. do you see anything in this earnings report to suggest a turnaround? I admit to a bit of emotion on this one as STN was once of the first stocks I ever bought. But continuing problems with "legacy" contracts has me questioning management. Time to give up the ghost on this one?
Appreciate your insight.

Q: I have the above securities as well as RBC Cdn Equity Inc-D shares, Sentry Cdn Income, Sentry Global REIT. I am a retired conservative dividend income investor with a company pension, CPP, annuities and Fisgard Capital for fixed income.
I currently own ECI and will sell and look for a Consumer stock to replace it (not interested in BIP...I have a full slate of Utilities). I filtered several candidates using fundamental metrics (P/E, beta, P/BV, P/CF, P/S) and technical metrics (200 dma, etc), as well as yield and price targets (for what they are worth).
I will keep my CGX and PBH. I'm looking for a long term hold (conservative, liquid stock with a good and growing dividend). My short list of candidates include CLIQ, CTC.a, PLC, TCL.A. I already flushed ADW.A, KBL, RSI and since I already have 1 food stock, I flushed L and NWC.
Please provide your insights into the appropriateness of these Consumer stocks (CLIQ, CTC.A, PLC, TCL.A) for my portfolio, given my circumstances and existing stock positions.
Are there other securities I should consider, even those that I have flushed?
Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: Aecon winning contracts and with the takeover off the table and stock back to $16 is it a good buy now or do you still prefer WSP Stantec or snc. And which ones have the least amount of debt and would withstand a slowdown much better.
