Q: Both TOU and ARX have access to LNG producers through contracts already in place. Do you see these contracts as any kind of hedge or insurance against possible US tariffs on natural gas?

I'm a big believer in the future of natural gas, and therefore hold these companies as my second and fourth largest holdings. Do you like any other Canadian gas producers better than these two?

Q: I don't have any exposure to energy and wanted to know what your views are for the sector going forward. In the current market environment, what percentage of your portfolio would YOU invest in it? Your top stocks for growth? Would the 4 stocks mentioned be good candidates? Thanks in advance.

Q: Tourmaline has a contract to supply LNG.How many years are left and at what price. Will this contract have a huge impact on TOU if not renewded. I know that Nat Gas is driving their sales. With TPZ being seperate are they well positioned to continue their dividends. 5i has rated TOU a best in class stock which I own and have small investment in Cheniere.. 5i does future hold well for the stocks if recession appears in 2025 or 2026.

Q: I have these stocks in my TFSA. How would you rate them for growth and dividend.

Q: Good morning, I accept virtually every expert’s opinion that Tourmaline is a great company with great management, but I’m trying to figure out given all the current conditions if it is a good stock/investment? I know they are returning lots of earnings through special dividends but the share price has been sideways for many years. There seems to be some doubt about the positive impact of the new LNG facility, and if the US unleashes new supply (as in “drill baby, drill”) the glut may not be going away anytime soon. If you had enough O&G exposure, would you still find it a compelling investment for the medium term, or would you deploy the capital elsewhere (no tax implications)? Suggestions (any sector)? Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: In a portfolio with banks at 42% (TD, and National), energy at 35% (TC, Sobo, and Tourmaline) and consumer discretionary 16% (ATD), what companies would you suggest diversifying into? This is my husband's account and he buys and holds. He will be selling Telus and needs some options for telecommunications and more. Could he be more diversified? He is asking my advice but I appreciate hearing from you.

Many thanks.

Q: Notwithstanding the capital gains tax implications, would you kindly rank the above GAS and OIL stocks in order of PREFERENCE and SECTOR (Gas stocks and Oil stocks) to continue holding for the long term and to help me decide on which stock to sell in order to raise cash for an upcoming major purchase. Thank you.

Q: Would now be a good time to invest in Natural Gas stocks? My thinking is that the commodity price is low, but demand should increase with increasing energy demands and the price in Canada should increase with the LNG terminal completing in 2025? Could you please support or crush my simple ideas. Thank you. Also, could you please offer some related stock or ETF ideas - either Canadian or American. Many thanks.

Q: The performance of these two Oil & Gas stocks have been a disappointment of late and thus far this year...
What are your thoughts on these stocks and holding them for awhile longer until gas prices increase or biting the bullet and switching to ARC Resources and TOU?
Thank you.

Q: Hi,

If you were to add to one's existing positions, which order would you add for medium (3 yrs) and long (3-5 yrs) term. All of them have suffered from recent pull back.

Strangely my holdings in USD seem to have suffered more than than the same holdings in CAD. For example VRN/CVE. Is this due to arbitrage trades as you suggested in one of your previous answers to another subscriber? Or due to the vagaries in currency fluctuations?

Lastly, your top picks in O&G today?
