Q: Peter and team
I'm trying to decide between sgy , tou , and rrx as an investment into the oil and gas sector . Which company do you feel will have the best earnings particularly accelerated earrings over the next two to three years ?
I currently don't have any exposure the this sector . Also open to other suggestions that you might rate better then the three I've just mentioned .
Thanks again and as usual great job !

Q: Hi,
The energy sector is getting slammed the last couple of days. Good time to dip my toe into Tourmaline since its come off $5 or so or still too early?
I know the summer can be rocky during a midterm election year, if history holds.
Thanks,
Jason

Q: I own WCP and have been considering buying POU & TOU as they were Eric Nuttall's top picks on BNN on April 17th but I am timid to do so as the RSI Index indicates that they are way over bought. He didn't think this was of concern as he says there has been huge demand for Canadian Oil & Gas stocks by US companies. Could I have 5I's thoughts on purchasing now are wait for a better opportunity? He also said he was 20% in cash?? Thanks, Bill
Q: Looking at getting into TOU or WCP .WCP has a 4.8% dividend. Both have had a very good run the last three months. Is it better to wait for a sector pull back or do they still have room to run. Of the two which is the better for a two year hold.
Q: Hello Peter and Co
Your revised equity portfolio has shed Tourmaline and replaced it by Black Diamond (same general sector) + in one of your recent responses you state Painted Pony and Peyto; does this imply that I should sell my TOU shares?
Thanks

Q: Hi there,
I am following your model portfolio with some of my own picks. I already own SJ and SLF. Therefore am debating on continuing to hold my full position in TOU. Do you still feel there is a lot of upside to TOU? Thank you for such a wonderful service it has helped me tremendously.

What did you think of Tourmaline's results March 17? They looked good to me. Do you agree?
Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter: What do you think of Tourmaline's Santonia deal? They will be issuing approximately 2 million common shares and picking up some debt.
Q: Hi Peter,
I see you have TOU in your model portfolio but no research on this company. Could you please explain why this is your top pick in this sector.

Q: Good Morning Peter, I have an 11% weighting in the oil and gas sector divided between five companies. This includes both ECA and TLM. I am significantly underwater on both of these stocks. Is it time to take my loss and replace with one of Vermillion or Tourmaline or some other company? I also hold FRC. Would you hold or replace that one as well?
Q: value for TOU... closed at $49.67 on Friday... would you consider this a buy or wait based on financials?
Thank You
Thank You
Q: what is your opinion of tou, thanks
Q: Hello Peter,
I received a note from my discount broker about treasury offering of common shares from Tourmaline at 47.50. Is this worth considering? How is this different from buying common shares? Will I have trouble liquidating them later if needed. Thanks. Regards, Shyam

Q: Hi Peter,
Tou has had quite a run lately. Is the stock getting overbought and would you continue to hold? thanks Clare

Q: Would a switch from Legacy Oil + Gas (LEG) to Tourmaline (TOU) make better sense over the next two years? Thanks for your help.
Q: Hi Peter, thanks for the advise on WFT, At the time I did not have any forestry stocks and since i bought it it is moving nicely.
I do not have any oil and gas stocks. if you were going to buy only one stock what would it be. Dividend is nice but not necessary, and i would like one company that may be able to take advantage of a decreasing Canadian Dollar. My risk profile is medium to high
cheers

Q: Hi Peter, what's your current opinion on ECA and whether to continue to hold or swap for another energy name (5% position and already holding BEP). Thank you.
Q: Peter and Team,
I'd like to wish you all a happy new year, first off. Second, I have owned Tourmaline for a while and had been writing covered calls on the name. I went a number of months without getting called away but finally did in December. It was almost a 5% weighting for me. I also currently own PPY (currently 3.0% of the portfolio) and PEY (Currently 3.7% of the portfolio) in the Natural Gas Sector.
My question is, with the proceeds from TOU should I be trying to get back into TOU? Are there better or other names that I should look at in the sector? Should I put the cash made into one of the names I already have?
Thanks for your thoughts!
