Q: What is your long term view on these two companies? Is their structure, management, and financial condition such that holding on to them makes sense?
Do you have replacement suggestions that will likely surge ahead in more promising market conditions? Thank you.

Q: Hi folks,
I am looking to add 3 of CSU, AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL or VISA for some growth to my otherwise conservative RRSP portfolio. May I have your 3 recommendations that could add some "zip" to my RRSP account. Looking at a 10 year time frame.
Thanks,

Q: Hi team ,
I am holding onto smaller positions of the following names which I am down huge on : Sq, Twlo, Apps. I have held these through the tech wreck riding them to the ground. My question is do I keep holding onto them at this point waiting for more recovery , or do I consolidate them and buy a different position? If they are sells, what would be your most promising names to buy today? Some I were looking at were Ats, Crox , Bn. Thanks .

Q: Hi

We still have 500 shares of GSY in our RRSP accounts

Thinking of selling and buying BAC. Both are beaten up. However I am thinking BAC
has a better chance of recovering in a shorter time frame with less government interference.

Your comments or other suggestions in the US are most welcome.

We already have CROX, BRK.B, CELH, PERI, NIO, INMD, LNTH, IFRA,XYLD, IYW

Thank you

Mike

Q: Hi there,

I'd like to own 8 companies listed in the USA (but not necessarily USA based companies). The holding period can be 5 - 10 years or more as I am many years from retirement. I would like to focus on companies that have a moat and pricing power and strong earnings growth now and anticipated future earnings growth.

I am leaning towards an oil company, an insurance company, a resource company, a semi conductor or 'tech' stock, and the financial services industry. I want to avoid stocks de jour as I got badly burned this year in things like upstart, apps, and unity, although I understand that upstart may benefit from AI and I am open to considering that one as well.

I am considering: Abbv, Lnth, Sanofi, ISRG, Visa, Fisv, Nvda, STmicroelectronics NV, Sea Limited, Meli, and Anet, Mckesson Corp, Oxy or COP, among others.

I am not asking for a full report on any of the names above, just trying to throw a few names out that I was looking at. I am also open to etfs.

What would be your top 8 picks (not necessarily the ones I've mentioned)? I am okay with risk. Thank you,

Jason

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I’m down on all the above stocks as follows CRWD Down 36%, ETSY down 40%, PINS down 52%, PYPL down 64%, SQ down 72% and U down 77%.

With a 2 to 3 year horizon which of these are worth holding and which once I should sell and can you suggest US replacements and not necessarily in the same asset class. Just good stable companies that have good growth potential to outperform the indexes.

Take as many credits as you feel necessary.

Thanks
Joe

Q: Good morning 5i
Yesterday i asked about a replacement for Magna and you kindly offered tfii and ats. I like these suggestions. But, the problem ( nice to have such a problem) is that i am already quite overweightin tfii and am also overweight inthe industrial sector. So, i am hesitant to buy ats. Do you have an equivalent for ats? Any other sector is ok, although my technology holdings are high. Also a US stock would be ok. It may not be the right mindset but i would like something with growth that can help recuperate some of my loses on mga
Thanks

Q: An article today suggested that Apple is close to coming out with a diabetic monitoring capability for its iWatch. If correct, what would that do to DXCM?

With that question in mind, I'm looking to add a small position in healthcare. Which of the listed companies do you see as having a better future for a long-term hold?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: It looks like LNTH’s fortunes changed fairly dramatically on or about Feb. 24th 2022. At the time there were two press releases; Feb. 23rd re: FDA approval of new manufacturing facility, and Feb. 24th Q4 and full year 2021 Financial Results. Do you know which precipitated the sharp rise in share price, or was it a combination of both? Just trying to figure out exactly what the market might have loved so much at the time, and if you think it is still proving out? Thank you for any insight you might have.

Q: I noticed that your position on Google has changed in the past couple of months. Previously, you were always recommending it as #1 stock for growth/risk combination, lately I don't see this recommendation anymore. At the moment, it is the worst performing stock in my portfolio and I am down over USD $20K on it. Unfortunately, it's in TFSA portfolio, so I cannot sell and claim cap loss. Do you still believe in bright future for Google considering the challenges (e.g. Microsoft combining efforts with Open AI to integrate chatGPT in Bing and challenge Google search dominance and, by proxy, ad revenue)? Considering that the stock is held in TFSA, would you keep it or sell and replace with something else? If you recommend selling, please list your suggestions. What is your current recommendation on the US market for better growth/risk equilibrium? Thanks!
