Q: Looking to park cash for 2 to 3 years in a low volatility etf with a decent distribution. I am looking at above mentioned etf and would appreciate your analysis or do you have other recommendations? Thanx.

Q: I am holding all of the above in my portfolio, along with some equity etfs and a few individual stocks. In seeing your comments on BMO 95290 fund, wondering if i should replace all of these etfs with the BMO fund ? Also, if i should allocate anything to CBO or CVD for diversification.
Thanks! I appreciate your quick and thorough responses!

Q: Recently I have found the TBIL and ZMMK ETFs to be a safe place to keep my cash and earn a half decent return.
However, the upcoming US elections, the upheaval in the Middle East, Ukraine, and the ongoing threat to global oil prices, is increasing the possibility of a sudden spike in interest rates, and a complete reversal of the current narrative of lower rates.
How would TBIL and ZMMK be affectted by such a turn of events (i.e. a spike in interest rates) and more generally, what investment asset classes would you recommend that would best mitigate such risks.
Thank You
John

Q: I’m recently retired and looking to set up a 2-year cash wedge inside my RRSP account. I already have about 20% invested in CBIL. I’m trying to decide if I should keep adding to CBIL or invest in something like ZMMK. I’m leaning towards ZMMK because of the slightly better current return, bigger size and maybe it will retain a slightly higher return in the future assuming interest rates continue to go down? Does this make sense? Is there a better instrument(s) to use to set up a cash wedge? Am I simply overthinking this 😊!

Q: Hi 5i
I'd like to add to a small TFSA investment, which today is 100% in VGRO.ca.
I will add funds so that 25% will be in VGRO.ca and the other 75% would be spilt between 2 to 3 of these: ZMMK, VFV, ZSP, ZDI, XIU. Timeline is 2 to 3 years and thinking to be more conservative because already have VGRO for growth.
What would be your ranking highest to lowest. Are there other ETF's that I should consider?
Thanks!

Q: Hi team, I am a 65 year old dividend investor. I presently hold about 12% of my portfolio in Money Market Fund ZMMK while waiting to see what to buy next. I am wondering how this fund would react during a major market sell off. I know it is fairly safe but the fund has a short history. In your opinion how safe is ZMMK and during a sell off would funds gravitate towards it or would it sell off with the rest of the equity market? Thanks.

Q: Recently sold a rental house and am looking for investment in low risk but monthly payment in a non registered account. I’m not comfortable with bonds and so far have come up with either laddered GICs ( paid out every 6 months) or combination of PFL, XFR, and ZMMK. Do you have any thoughts on any of this. Which would have a the best tax rate implications? And would you have any other suggestions that would work best in the current reduced rate environment we are heading in the next few years.
Thanks

Q: Hello and Happy New Year.
I have a question on moving funds in/out of ZMMK. I received an amount of cash that I am going to park in ZMMK for the interim. My question is do I need to be concerned with superficial losses while moving funds out? I see it bounces in a range of approximately $49.90-50.08 and sitting at $49.94 as of now. If I were to move funds in now, my avg cost sits around todays cost and if I want to draw out under that, it would create a superficial loss (~$1200 worst case) although not a concern as it's held for the dividend. Thank you.

Q: I am currently holding over $80K in ZMMK as a holding place. Approx. 4.92% dividend while I wait to see where this market is going (so many mixed signals and differing opinions !). RBC just announced they are supporting the purchase of things like CASH, PSA, etc. How does ZMMK compare compare to the Horizons High Interest Savings ETF (CASH) ? Is ZMMK as "safe" ?

Q: If the unthinkable happens and the US doesn't raise the debt ceiling leading to the US government defaulting, how would this affect holdings in each of HSAV, HSUV.U and ZMMK? Secondly if an investor held both such an opinion and such holdings, would it then be prudent to sell the holdings before the limit is reached? Please define the risks to these holdings if any actually exist.
