Q: Good Sunday AM: Have owned FCR for about 1 YR. Down about 20%!!
Stock is constantly being promoted by some of the the talking heads on TV. Reasonable dividend @4%+ but that's it! Acting very REIT like! What to do! Regards!

Q: Hi Peter, REIT's seem to have taken a pounding lately. I know they are vulnerable to rising interest rates but do they represent a good value play? I am looking at taking a position in HR.UN or FCR what do you think?
Q: Hi Peter and the 5i team, If you could buy only one or two REITs or real estate companies, which ones would you choose, and why? Thanks.
Q: I am overweight TD-T because of the increase in share price but not overweight financials. What do you think of selling some TD and buying FCR-T or would you suggest a different financial stock instead?
Q: Hi Peter & team,
I am considering purchasing fcr shares, but my dilemma is regarding dividend growth. My sources show that there has been only 1 increase since 2008 of 1 penny. Am I missing something?
Mike G.

Q: Would you rank FCR, IFC and FN - and would you hold all 3 or none of these 3.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: FCR: I hold FCR in two accounts to the total of 5% of portfolio. You've been actively recommending this stock in the past, now that the stock dropped 10% from it's high last month, I am wondering whether to increase my position - I don't see anything wrong with the company and the dividend is still good. What's your opinion on this? Thanks.
Q: Hi folks, FCR hasn't been reviewed since October 29. What do you think of it in light of the recent decline in reits and utilities.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I've read your report about FCR and it looks like a very good company. I'm looking to buy it. On one hand it looks like an excellent time to buy right now as the RSI is around 30, on the other hand it seems to be in a downtrend for the last couple of months. What is your opinion on whether or not this is a buy right now. BTW, love the site, very informative, I just hope you don't run out of patience answering these crazy questions all day!
Q: What do you think of warrants in general and FCR warrant in particular (currently about .30)?

Q: Hi Peter:
How do you feel about First Capital's equity offering yesterday? Does FCR remain an attractive purchase? Thank you.

Q: I'm considering picking up some shares of First Capital Realty (FCR) to diversify my portfolio and get some exposure to real estate. I know very little about real estate investments though so I hope you could give me some pointers. Currently, interest rate is low and real estate asset value is relatively high, both of which are good for financing. In the medium term, real estate prices may cool down and interest rate will go up. How would this affect the stock price? In general, how sensitive is the stock price to the overall real estate asset value?
Is real estate a good investment to get in right now as a long-term investment? (I have a >10-year horizon)
Also what's your view on REITs? And US REIT vs. Canadian REIT?
Thanks
Dennis

Q: re: fcr
they reported to-day touting "strong Q2 results" and raised the quarterly dividend (which sounds great) but their 6 monthly net income per common share has fallen by 6 cents (due to share dilution from equity financing) which doesn't sound so great..
overall doesn't light a fire in the belly - is this one a "hold" rather than a buy based on these results?
thanks...
