Q: Been a while since you had any questions on this one .... thoughts on current share price and outlook. What price would you consider this to be a screaming buy ??
Q: Which one (GFL or EFN) would be better for a long term hold with capital preservation and of course some growth in a TFSA account. The funds are coming from ECN special dividend, which I still have a full position in.
Thanks
Q: Hi, realizing that you can’t comment on personal weighting’s etc, I would appreciate your ranking of the upside of above companies within the next 12 months. Thanks in advance.
Q: Hi 5i
Considering initiating a small position in this stock which is currently down off recent highs around -14% for a 2 year hold.
In your opinion will the EV revolution be a negative/positive/neutral for this stock?
Not withstanding your previous response to Adam on Jan 13-2021, would you be interested at these level?
Thx
JIm
Q: In a report dated 4 Jan , RBC Capital says “… Element Fleet is our best idea, and we believe it should be a core holding in any portfolio, as we think the stock offers a blend of growth, defensive attributes and multiple potential positive catalysts.”
I just don't see it and feel I must be missing a LOT. I find EFN just OK. I don’t follow Canadian markets much so checked other reports, and skimmed several analyses. Almost all other analysts seem to be lukewarm on EFN. RBC includes well qualified, experienced, and generally trustworthy fellows.
Please comment on EFN with a focus on future growth. Is its business model robust enough to beat competition?
Q: I have large positions in these two companies that I have held for a long time. Is the dividend safe? Should I average down into these names? If so, what entry prices would enter on?
Q: I have held efn and ecn forever. I should have sold at their highs along with lspd. At this point all three have been beaten very badly. Are the dividends safe (ecn and efn)? What about the core business of fleet? This was supposed to be sticky similar to a utility stock but the stock has certainly not held up. Will the customers go bankrupt and revenues dip? Does ecn have risk of lending default? And how sticky is lightspeed’s business? If their clients (smb retail) go under they have about 100m in the bank. Would that last long enough for a turn around? How do you view the limited insider and institutional ownership? Is this a concern?
Sorry for the many questions feel free to remove additional question credits.
Q: Hi, you favored ECN over EFN recenlty. Just curios as to why and can you outline any major differences other than size. EFN has a potential tie to Amazon as well?
Q: Hello Peter/5i Team
There has been mentioned that there is a shift from growth stock to value stock.
Please provide me three of you top picks that you would consider good value stocks.
Also are the banks stock a good place to be adding to ?
Q: EFN is on the verge (again) of breaking through $10 resistance established back in the fall of 2017 (it also peaked around $10.25 two months ago). If the breakthrough is sustained, there should not be much to stop it running back up to the $12+ range. Would you continue to hold for another 3 - 6 months to see if this plays out? Aside from technicals, is the company continuing to make progress in its restructuring?
Q: I'm thinking about selling a position in EFN with a 5% weighting in a RESP with a 5 year time horizon and replacing it with either CNR, NTR or BIP.UN. Another newsletter is big on these 3 names for longer term holds. Thoughts?
Q: Would you please give me your 5 best ideas for momentum stocks in any sector other than tech or healthcare and say why you chose them. A big thank you for all you do for members.
