- BCE Inc. (BCE)
- Bombardier Inc. Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (BBD.B)
- Kinder Morgan Canada Limited restricted voting shares (KML)
Q: Hi team.
what is the growth outlook for BCE? is it a buy? Bombardier seems to be going up steadily. Is that justified and sustainable? Is it an opportune time to buy Kinder Morgan, given the Government purchase scenario?
Regards, Norman

Q: Good Morning, Are there any Canadian companies that may benefit from the tariffs China has placed on the US. i.e. Could tariffs make Corby's more competitive in China vs. US distillers? Could CAE and BBD benefit from tariffs on Boeing?
Thanks
Thanks

Q: From your answer to Jeremy on Jan. 18.
Bombardier is likely one of those companies, for better or worse, that we would have a very hard time endorsing. It has been a consistent value destroyer for shareholders, always seems to get into disputes with custoemrs, and needs government support often.
Could you give 2 or 3 names that could replace BBd?

Q: Bombardier has seen good growth over the last 6 months leading into 2018, do you see potential for continued growth going forward? or are you expecting with the legal dealings and trade with the US that this stock might have a rebound back to trading lower?

Q: I have decided to pay off my mortgage, primarily because I think I have had a good run with equity returns outperforming by a good margin the cost of carrying my mortgage. Although I am not concerned about a large correction I think the risk return is swinging a bit more towards paying off the 2.79% mortgage. I will likely sell 3 or 4 of the following to do so: bbd, mal, pza, rsi, rus, tpk, wjx, dht. Please rank in order in which you would sell the companies listed, you can assume none will adversely affect my current asset allocation. I realize it is quite a mixed bag...but they are some of the ones I hold that aren't in your balanced portfolio so kills 2 birds by getting them out of my current holdings...
Q: I would think Bombardier might be a good short. Your opinion?

Q: I have held these loss stocks in my well-diversified portfolio for many years. I am willing to wait for a turnaround and do not need the cash. Which if any would you recommend selling now if you consider holding them to be a lost cause. Thank you
Q: Can you please explain the BBD Airbus deal? It looks like they gave 50.1% away for free... but the market's reaction is positive. Giving away that much of the CSeries for free doesn't seem like a good deal, but was it because they were just screwed otherwise and had to?
Q: Good Morning.
I have a small position in FTG and note from past news releases of the company that they are a supplier, either directly or indirectly to BBD.B. Trying to quantify what the impact of the US penalty on BBD might be on FTG. Any commentary you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks

Q: I own Series 2 Adjustable Rate Preferred Shares. The company has given notice that these shares can be converted on a one-for-one basis into Series3 Preferred Shares. Would it be more advantageous for me to keep the Series 2 Adjustable Rate Preferred Shares or convert them into the Series 3 Preferred Shares?

Q: 2 question : So bomber has bounced a bit so time for me to suck it up and sell at a 30% loss. Sell now or hold off a few more days to see if it has some legs.
Once I sell BBD.b what full position of the balanced equity portfolio would you buy right now: ccl, gud, nfi, sis, sj, syz, t or toy? Currently rebalancing my CAD equity portfolio to loosely match your portfolio and those above fill gaps in my allocation. Open to off the list suggestions but already overweigh or OK in financials, energy and tech.

- Husky Energy Inc. (HSE)
- Bombardier Inc. Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (BBD.B)
- Wajax Corporation (WJX)
Q: The 3 current dogs in my portfolio are Wajax ( -40%), Bomber ( -30%) and Husky (-45%). Do you see an upside to keeping any of these stocks or is it time to suck it up and move on? Wajax is paying me 4.5% to be patient, Husky not so much but oil upside, and well I think I know the answer for Bombardier.
Q: Would you recomment Bombardier at this point? Looks like things are better than they were last year.
Q: BBD.PR.B It seems to me that Bombardier cannot go broke - government support etc. Would this not mean that the preferred shares of BBD.PR.B ( cum redeemable ) are relatively safe? And if so why is the dividend so high (8.21%) ?
Q: I have held Bombardier for some time now and wonder if it is time to sell on the recent bounce or is the worst over and I should just hang on to it. My book value is $3.78 although I realize the market doesn't care what I paid for it.
Thank you
Maggie

Q: On Nov 20, 2015 you replied to Herbert "Because the Caisse's interest is directly into a subsidiary, there is not dilution in the usual sense in terms of shares issued. BBD will get capital, and simply own less of the unit. BBD has also asked the Federal government for money."
1) I am trying to understand. If BBD own less, doesn't that mean BBD shareholders will own less, get less of the revenue/earnings pie and in the end, result in some of shareholder dilution?
2) Additionally, I have to believe that with all the money this company is getting from government bodies that this will also create further dilution (unless it is money that is invested to protect jobs..) ?
Thanks.

Q: With the Caisse (Quebec)taking a .30% interest in Bombardier's rail unit, I feel the Quebec government is taking control of Bombardier with also the interest in the C series Airplane. Thus, how does this affect the shareholders, and is it a dilution of shareholders interest (shares)?
