Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Management always seems to be one of the keys to the success of any company. Could you provide a list of companies that you consider to have top-notch management - any sector, any market cap but leaning towards small to mid cap, Canadian and U.S. I'm not going to put a number limit on this - just whatever you feel comfortable in providing, realizing that there may be too many to list for this type of question. Thanks.

Q: These companies appeal to me for various reasons, some of which I currently own. For new money in an unregistered account, in your opinion which two would have the most pop in the near future and likely for a 3 yr hold? Thanks.

Q: Hi, in your April report for XBC, the shares were trading at $4.29 and that represented 4.5x sales and 145x EBITDA. ANRG just went public at $14.00 (now around $13.50), and the IPO price represented about 1x sales and 7x EBITDA. Both companies are essentially in the same business, so I am wondering about the valuation discrepancy. Your thought would be appreciated.
