Q: I follow the Balanced portfolio for my RRSP; it's time to make my 2021 contribution. My goal for this account is steady, long-term growth while accepting moderate volatility as it is all-equity.

I have a small amount of TOI from the CSU spin-off, and am contemplating adding to it to bring it to a half-position, would you endorse this move? If not, then I would close my position since it is quite small at this point.

I would then have enough money to add to maybe 3-5 additional positions, which of these would be good to add to right now?

AEM, AC, ATD.B, CCL.B, ENB, GUD, MG, PKI, SHOP

I am fully weight/overweight the other Balanced Portfolio holdings so would rather not add to those.

Please deduct as many credits as required. Thank you.

Q: Good morning. I'm trying to decide on whether to add to my existing KXS or start a new position in either DND or TOI. I have a long time frame. Are the prospects for DND/TOI compelling enough to start one or even two new positions or should I just build on KXS, which you suggested way back and which has been a stellar performer.

Q: Good morning,

I have a basket of tech stocks that I am looking to add a few names too. Those already held include CSU, KXS, LSPD, ENGH, CTS, DND, and REAL. What stocks of the ones listed would you add to today for long-term hold? Thanks.

Q: Hello,
I have new money to allocate. Which ones of these are your favorites for 5 year + hold notwithstanding they have different risk profile and in different sectors (best overall risk / reward. I am underweight small cap). I already own KXS and ENGH but i could add to existing positions. Thank you!

Q: Since CSU and Topicus are somewhat similar, the latter with a European focus, would you think it to be able to take the same path to growth that CSU took years ago? In other words, do you look at TOI as being a mini-CSU with (hopefully) a similar story of acquisitions and long term success? Lastly, is Management of TOI considered "top notch"? Thanks as always!

Q: Hello 5I
I am thinking of switching CGI Group (1.05% of portfolio) and OTEX (3.19% of portfolio) for TOPICUS , looking for more growth. TOPICUS also looks like a company that may employ AI going forward in their vertical market software offerings. I am a bit overweight Technology but not concerned about it.
You thoughts please
Thank You
Clarence

Q: I have all three currently in a taxable account and about to transfer something into a TFSA. Would you have any preference over these three great companies at the moment for that?
thanks

Q: Hello,
In the consumer discretionary sector would you consider COTY or ULTA to be attractive? Which one would you pick?

COTY was an offshoot of PG I believe..TOI is from CSU..Does Mark Leonard have any say in the management of TOI? If Topicus were to follow in CSU's footsteps (framework) they would do very well. Are there any such precedents where offshoots have done very well? Why do companies sell of portions of the company? Thanks and happy family day. No rush to answer these questions. Cheers, Shyam

Q: Hi, Constellation's TSS Group released quarterly results, last evening. Could you please comment on the results. We have not seen this NR, before. Do these results relate to Topicus ? If so, does it further strengthen your belief in Topicus and buy shares at current $59-$60 level ? Thank You

Q: I have read the About Us section on the Topicus web page: "Topicus.com is a leading pan-European provider of vertical market software and vertical market platforms to clients in a select group of public and private sector markets. We build, acquire and manage industry specific software businesses which provide specialized, mission-critical and high-impact software solutions that address the particular needs of our customers." So, if I got it right, Topicus is in a sense a mini CSU operating in Europe, is that right? In terms of their business and what they do, are there differences between CSU and TOI? Thank you
