Q: Hi, I'm considering a swap of PBH for GIL in my RRSP. I know you like both but could I get your opinion and why. Thanks

Q: What would be your preference today of these two stocks in the consumer sector?
Q: Hello 5i,
I only have enough cash for one position. Which of SU or GIL would you pick up first?
Or would you wait for the dust to settle. I will be purchasing both eventually once I dispose of other holdings.
In order of preference please.
Thanks,
KC

Q: Hi,
I know you like GIL and it is doing well. Would you be okay starting a new position today or wait for a bit of a pullback.
Thanks

Q: I was wondering if you could recommend some stocks that trade on the tsx that pay dividends in US money. I believe pif does, could you name some others.
Q: My allocation in the consumer category is at its maximum. Would a swap of NFI for GIL make sense?
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
Across all accounts, our sector allocations need re-balancing. I'm trying to re-allocate money only in stocks that are already held. In the Consumer Discretionary space, should I add to GIL and/or MG today? (GIL is 2.75% and MG is 2.92% of the total portfolio)
Thanks as always for the timely advice.

Q: Could you comment on Carrick's article about the Connolly report. The prospects for CNR ( I always chicken out on CNR and then it goes higher). Are there similar strategies that appear to predict long term growth that you like ? And perhaps another name you like ?
Thanks for all yoru support,
Mark

Q: Recently President Xi gave a speech indicating the intention to open up the Chinese economy, including " lowering tariffs for autos and other products and enforcing the legal intellectual property of foreign firms".These are things the Trump administration is seeking. Also in a recent dinner talk David MacNaughton indicated pressure from American farmers to reach a resolution.
Have you any thoughts on the possibility of the trade dispute being resolved and which of the 5i stocks would respond most positively?
Mike

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
I'm certainly not complaining, but can you account for the pleasant surprise from Gildan yesterday (up 21.6%)? It's been languishing lately and this bounce was very welcome.
Also, thanks very much for the ECI recommendation. My TFSA benefited greatly from this stock.

Q: Hello 5i Team!
GIL has dropped more that 10% recently. Falling knife? Or, buying opportunity?
Thanks as always

Q: Do you have an explanation on why GIL was down over 6% yesterday?
Q: I have been a holder of GIL for several years now and it has basically gone sideways. I hold about a 1/2 position. I am down about $200 and am thinking it’s about time to move on. Any suggestions of what would be a good replacement?
Thanks for much appreciated advice.
John

Q: I was reading recently that GIL effective tax rate is 4%. Is that correct? If so how are they able to have such a low tax rate? Is this rate sustainable?
Q: Can you comment on GIL most recent quarterly earnings report? Did you find it strange that the stock was up significantly one day this week and then down significantly the next?
Q: Would you comment on Gildan's quarter and future outlook. Does the stock price seem justified? Thank you.

Q: Of these three cyclicals, MG, TOY and GIL, which two do you think would do best in a downturn?
(Note - you might have received this question twice - something went wrong just before I sent the first time). Thanks.
