Q: I'm down ~15-20% on these names and contemplating a tax loss swap.
For each of these, do you think there are suitable proxies or are they are hard to replace?
For FLNT in particular, I'm considering dumping it all together, so a similarly battered small-cap name you think will perform better will work as well.
Finally, when it comes to tax-loss selling, do you have a rule of thumb on the % down a name should be before it makes sense, or it's generally situation dependant?

Q: Hi
I am trying to find out more about the lawsuit against MITEK you reference in your March 16 response to a question from Joel. I found a USAA lawsuit against MITEK which was settled in 2014 and a lawsuit where MITEK sued USAA in 2019 claiming USAA's litigation against MITEK's customers "placed a cloud over MITEK's products and services." Is this the lawsuit you were referencing? Thanks

Q: Risk tolerance in TFSA high. Both spouses are vested in defined benefit pension. 5 to 15 year timeframe. I am thinking of slowly adding to existing XBC position and initiating MITK position. Would you suggest waiting until after XBC reports? I worry a good buying opportunity will be lost if we don't add to that position in advance. Do we have a timeframe around the MITK legal situation?

Q: Hello 5i Team
I have read the Q/A on many of these stock already , but due to the current market correction and the stock rotation .How would you rate these stocks today and would you sell any of them .Is there futher down side risk on these stocks .What would you recommend ? Q: Looking to add another U S company to either my cash or TFSA account. I have followed MITK for awhile and I believe you like it. I notice it has pulled back a bit. Would it be a good addition and to which account? U. S stocks I presently own are SQ, V, BHVN, AAPL, DIS, FSLY, and ABCL. Do you have another suggestion that I may consider?

Q: 5i has stated in the past that the above companies have no debt (LNF "very little debt") - is that still the case? If possible, can you please name 5 additional good CAN and 5 US companies that have no debt or very little?

Q: Small caps have always been a focus of mine and the 5i team has helped me build out a nice group over the last year to complement my core holdings. Can you let me know if your thesis has changed (negatively) on any of these names? Any standouts that you would add to either due to opportunity or valuation if I had more $ available?

Q: Can you comment on MITK earnings today. Do you like it moving forward?

I currently hold a 3% position in REAL (currently down 25+% since purchase in TFSA). Would a switch to MITK make sense? Which of the two do you prefer today? Or is there other names you would recommend suggest switching to today?

Q: Can you explain the lawsuit won by USAA against Wells Fargo for patent infringement on mobile remote deposit technology? How does this affect Mitek? Mitek and USAA settled a lawsuit a long time ago. The banks use the technology provided by Mitek. How can the USAA sue the banks for patent infringement? Is that not between USAA and Mitek ? Mitek reports on Thursday and the stock is on the move. What am I missing?
