Q: Its pretty obvious that AI is going to be a big investment thesis this year and likely for a number of years. It looks like it will be very disruptive, which will create investment opportunities. With that will come hype and promotion of low quality companies that will get propped up in the wave of AI. Like crypto, NFT's, etc etc I think AI will probably be the next craze, and a lot of money will be made and lost. But so far the only recommendations I'm reading about are mega caps like Nvidia, Apple, GOOG which can do well but they aren't going to be multibaggers. Do you have any insight into smaller companies that may benefit most from this AI boom? Looking for game changing smaller companies that have the best chance at multibagger gains? Thx

Q: Over the past two years with the downturn of the market, I am down significantly with majority of these holdings in various accounts. I have a long-term 10+ year outlook, so looking to see if you feel any of these can be sold off given the outlook, management of the company? If so, what are your recommendations for a growth investor in either CAD/US stock options?

Thanks!!

Q: Hello 5i
Could you provide an indication as to buyhold/sell - all are current holdings but some due to declines have reduced to < 1% . I'm looking to rebalance overall and these need addressing with possibly topping up, selling or doing nothing ... ignore sector weights please. Already held for some time and any that I decide will remain will be held for the long term
Thanks

Q: I have a few questions on PLTR. What annual revenue growth rate has the company set and what will it achieve if it meets its q4 revenue target? What affect has the employee remuneration in shares having on total shares outstanding? The optics of PLTR missing analysis estimates each quarter is problematic. Do you believe the company will improve it's ability to meet or exceed analysts estimates (and its own) or do they just don't care? Maybe there is a better explanation for these misses. Alex Karp ses to revel in and seek out a guru status, but can he deliver the results he promises. He certainly isn't conservative in setting targets and seems to have new explanations each quarter for missing expectations he has set. That said, the business is growing, I'm just not sure how investable the stock is. I am considering selling at a loss in a registered account, but can hold for a very long time if the value of shares could improve over time.

Q: I invested some speculative capital in the above companies last year in a taxable account. Terrible timing. As we near the end of the year, I plan to sell some of these for tax loss harvesting and use the funds to average down in the others. Which would you sell and which would you average down?
Also somewhat related to this is the fact that I feel as much as there’s a good buying opportunities in some U.S. stocks right now, the high U.S. dollar makes it hard for me to convert CAD funds to USD. Am I right to hold off on currency conversion for now?

Q: I am restructuring a non-registered account to be more defensive, and less tech heavy. All of the following US stocks are down: APPS, OKTA, PYPL, PLTR, SE, TTD, MRVL, TWLO, U, VEEV. Do you consider them a sell or hold?
Thanks.

Q: Hi,
Please take as many credits as you feel fit. Our portfolio is a hot mess. We’ve basically been ignoring this downturn for the past 6 months knowing we are are in for the long term. Retirement is 7-10 years out. The above holdings have fallen below a 1% weight in our portfolio. We have limited cash to deploy. Which of these would you add to? In what order? Any you would not add to and just hope that time allows for recovery? Any if these you would sell? For the ones that could be added too. Would you just buy now or put some stink bids in given the crazy volatility in markets? Any additional input is welcome.
Thanks so much,
Kerri
