Q: HI folks
Sadly, I am down on all of these somewhere between 60 to 95%!!! They mostly but not all started out as somewhat small positions 2 to 4 years ago! I have time to wait longer but: 1)are there any that are absolute failures and therefore should be sold. 2) Would you please rate the selIs from 1 to 10 ..10 being the absolute SELL. 3)How many years should I give these? (tough to answer but just a guess). I will not get much at all for any of them! Please take as many credits as you see fit.

Q: Hello 5i,

I'm looking to consolidate my adtech holdings. I currently own The Trade Desk, Perion and Magnite. My main goal is to maximize growth over the next couple of years and I'm concerned about Magnite's slowing/declining future revenue growth.
My possible options are:

1) Sell all MGNI, buy more TTD
2) Sell all MGNI, buy more PERI
3) Sell all MGNI, allocate 50% of proceeds to TTD and 50% to PERI
3) Sell all MGNI and PERI, buy more TTD
4) Do nothing

Which option do you suggest? My current allocation to all three is approximately equal.

Q: Thanks to the 5i team for all the great work amongst a very tough 2022! I wish you and yours all the very best for the new year.

I really appreciated and learnt a lot from the various indices/metrics that you used in your market update emails, especially circling back in the most recent one to update the trends. Looking at the various indexes you explored last year, it made me wonder if there was an index or metric that tracked digital advertising to look at trends through time (e.g., have things bottomed and more are spending on digital advertising). As a holder of companies like Google, Digital Turbine, and The Trading Desk, I am interested to know if there is an index/metric out there to follow trends in digital advertising. If there is, could you use it to suggest what the general status of digital advertising is and how it might help inform adding to positions of GOOG, APPS, TTD, and others (if you have higher conviction names to suggest).

Q: In light of the market backdrop & the poor Q on Aug 8 resulting in a 14% haircut that day along with your comments,I humbly and painfully think it will take time for PLTR to recover.Have a 50% loss. of which 66% of shares in my investment a/c & balance in Tsfa.Thinking of selling & replaced it by better stocks like Goog,Amzn,Bam.a,Atd.Please provide u opinion & rank the above stocks starting with best.Please feel free to provide 2 or 3 stocks that u prefer. Please comment on Mgni Q2 results released today.In After Hours it was at $8.61, a drop of 6.82% Again its it timely to sell at some 53% loss in investment a/c and replace with above stocks.Please comment. Q: I have sold AMZN and TTD to harvest a tax loss. I will buy both after 30 days. Can you suggest proxies for either or both of these or is it best to just wait it out.

Q: Please comment on Mgni's Q1 results released on May 4,& guidance. Apparently Rev & Eps beat estimates. On May 5 it closed at $10.94 + 0.32 despite great Bear attack on the markets.On may 6 dropped $1.07 to $9.87.Any reasons. Txs for u usual great services & views.May have asked similiar Q earlier

Q: Hi Peter and Staff

In my basket of TECH, I have many losers that you have been high on(not your fault).

I have regretted selling "losers" that recovered sharply and sat on some that the opportunity cost turned out to high.

Are there any in the list above that the risk/reward of hanging on justifies not selling to top up positions in SHOP,TOI and/or CRWD that are also down.

Which order would you sell from the sell list and which order would you buy from the 3 buys

Q: Hi 5i,
In a recent question on Apple’s new privacy policy on iOS, you said that FB will be impacted as it is an App on the iphone, but GOOG is largely unaffected as most of its ad revenue is derived from its search engine. In another question, you mentioned that GOOG is also implementing similar changes to its Android system. With the big guns tightening their privacy settings, will the smaller players, such as MGNI and AT, see a significant drag on their revenues? MGNI and AT are off big time but it may be more the market backdrop.

Q: I would like your impressions on PUBM. Its valuation is quite reasonable compared to others in this space such as MGNI and TTD. It seems to me that their success depends on the being able to attract more publishers to their platform, not sure if you have any insights into their potential.
