Q: Hi,

These stocks listed make up the core position of my Canadian and US holdings.

Would you consider this list to be a good one for a 3-5 year plus time horizon? I am able to tolerate high risk .

Thanks

Q: Good day. Looking to deploy some new cash, the above stocks are my present US holdings. Any in this group set to take off that could be added to or any sells in the mix? Recommendations to add to this group?

Q: My wife and I are each opening up a TFSA with 75000 initial deposit in each account. We are thinking of putting 5-8 ETF's into the one account and 10-12 stocks into the other account. Wondering if this is a good strategy or if you would suggest something different? The emphasis would be primarily on growth, but not at extreme risk. Can you recommend 5 or more ETF's (and percentage allotted for each) for good diversity for the one account, and 10-12 stocks equally spread out to cover the $75,000 in the other account.
Please deduct as many credits as appropriate.
Many thanks, Jake

Q: Hi Everyone at 5i! Hope you are having a good summer so far! Speaking of summer, Peter gave five suggested summer stock picks in the National Post on the weekend. ..Flutter Entertainment, Pool Corp, Scott’s Miracle Grow, Celsius Holdings and Airbnb Inc. If I could only invest in one, which one would your crystal ball say would have the greatest potential of growth? Cheers, Tamara

Q: Hi,
I hold the above companies in my TFSA and would like to make the portfolio more concentrated for better upside potential. If you were forced to cut three positions and add the proceeds to any of the existing holdings, which one’s would you choose? Long term growth is the only objective.
Thanks

Q: This is my margin portfolio, all position weightings are between 3%-5%.

The projected yield is 3.31% with a 3-5 year hold.

I realize 24 positions is a bit overkill but I can't seem to choose which to remove, which would you recommend?

What positions would you add to the portfolio?

Take as many credits as needed.

Thanks for the great service

Q: Hi.
The list of stocks make’s up my overall portfolio. Last month, during the sell off, my portfolio was down ~40% and started recovering slightly and lost steam again since late last week.
I don’t have any intentions to sell in the short term and I will prefer to hold for minimum the next 3-5 years.
Looking at the list of my holdings, do you feel there is any stock that should not be there?
Thanks,

Q: Hope you and yours have so far successfully avoiding covid-19.
Our portfolio is below
Cons Discr 5%: US:NIO, US:CELH
Cons Stpl 3.8% - US:COST
Energy 6.2%
Fin Svcs 38% - BNS, GSY, RY, SHOP, SLF, US:BAM, US:JPM, US:MCO, US:V
Health 4.2% - US:MDT
Ind 5.8% - US:RTX, CNR
Real Est 2.7% - US:RDFN
Tech 13.4%
Telcom 5.7%
Util 7.4%
Cash 8%

All the fin svcs are up nicely but V and BAM have only small gains. We like both but think we should reduce this overweight sector and re-balance among the Industrial, Health and Real Estate sectors.
We are down 41% on NIO and down 12% on CELH but we are prepared to wait unless you think their prospects aren’t worth the wait.
We’d appreciate your view on what to sell in fin svcs and what to buy in Ind, Health & Real Est.
Many, many thanks.

Q: Hi ,
With wild swings up and down with high growth tech stocks, its my opinion that nothing has changed other than their markets caps and the price. In some cases they have even become cheaper then they were, EV/sales etc. I decided to hold on to my high growth stocks as the "underlying business" fundamentals have not changed. In some cases, they have even got better.
My portfolio is down roughly 40%, which i would consider quite normal during a pullback of this sorts.
Would you agree with my thinking ?
Thanks,

Q: The 2021 market hasn't been as fun the 2020 market, though I'm optimistic for a much improved remainder of 2021 - like 2020.

All things considered, if you were to pick up five stocks that have sold off (US/CDN) for a 5 year hold, what would they be?

Cam.
