Q: Hope you and yours have so far successfully avoiding covid-19.
Our portfolio is below
Cons Discr 5%: US:NIO, US:CELH
Cons Stpl 3.8% - US:COST
Energy 6.2%
Fin Svcs 38% - BNS, GSY, RY, SHOP, SLF, US:BAM, US:JPM, US:MCO, US:V
Health 4.2% - US:MDT
Ind 5.8% - US:RTX, CNR
Real Est 2.7% - US:RDFN
Tech 13.4%
Telcom 5.7%
Util 7.4%
Cash 8%

All the fin svcs are up nicely but V and BAM have only small gains. We like both but think we should reduce this overweight sector and re-balance among the Industrial, Health and Real Estate sectors.
We are down 41% on NIO and down 12% on CELH but we are prepared to wait unless you think their prospects aren’t worth the wait.
We’d appreciate your view on what to sell in fin svcs and what to buy in Ind, Health & Real Est.
Many, many thanks.

Q: Hi ,
With wild swings up and down with high growth tech stocks, its my opinion that nothing has changed other than their markets caps and the price. In some cases they have even become cheaper then they were, EV/sales etc. I decided to hold on to my high growth stocks as the "underlying business" fundamentals have not changed. In some cases, they have even got better.
My portfolio is down roughly 40%, which i would consider quite normal during a pullback of this sorts.
Would you agree with my thinking ?
Thanks,

Q: The 2021 market hasn't been as fun the 2020 market, though I'm optimistic for a much improved remainder of 2021 - like 2020.

All things considered, if you were to pick up five stocks that have sold off (US/CDN) for a 5 year hold, what would they be?

Cam.

Q: My stocks and losses are below. You indicated that the rise in rates was causing the selloff. If rates just keep rising, do you think these stocks will keep dropping?
Are these stocks healthy enough to rebound? Your views much appreciated.

US:NIO -48.31%
US:U -41.66%
KXS -21.42%
US:RDFN -21.04%
US:CRWD -19.50%
US:CELH -12.98%

Q: Markets are really backing off with Nasdaq down over 500 points Thursday afternoon. Looks like a good correction. Can you list your top 10 stocks (1 to 10) you would buy that seem to be set up for big rebounds.

Q: Hey 5i,
Say that you are a “very aggressive growth investor/trader” using a commission-free brokerage and a stop loss strategy to mitigate risk to make sure you are far from the last one out when a downswing/correction/crash happens.

1) What would be your current top 15 highest conviction aggressive picks that you think would appreciate the most in 2021 (USD and CAD), regardless of any other considerations like sector weightings.

2) On businesses that you are most comfortable with (GOOG, AAPL, MSFT) what would be the highest weighting you’d be OK with? The stop loss strategy to mitigate risk applies.

Please deduct the appropriate credits, thanks !

Q: Thanks for the great service. I feel like I have become too heavy on tech and healthcare and not well-diversified globally. Can you suggest some small and large caps that you would buy today?

Q: Would like your opinion on NUAN, APPS and AT as a growth stock. Looking for 2 to add to my TFSA. Could you rank them in order of preference and if you have a favourite include it in the list.
Thank you John

Q: Would you start to buy CELH / TIXT now or do you foresee the opportunity to buy either of them at lower price from here? Other than market fluctuations, anything specific in the near future that might be a headwind for either of them. Thanks.

Q: My advisor has suggested I average down buy these two stocks PEP and K (underwater on both). I'm hesitant to proceed that way and would rather look at consumer discretionary ideas with more growth. What would you suggest? I consider myself an aggressive investor. Looking for a 2-3 year hold.

Thanks, as always for th great advise.

Q: Small caps have always been a focus of mine and the 5i team has helped me build out a nice group over the last year to complement my core holdings. Can you let me know if your thesis has changed (negatively) on any of these names? Any standouts that you would add to either due to opportunity or valuation if I had more $ available?

Thx as always for your valued advice
