Q: Need to rebuild industrial sector holdings - assume a clean slate. What percentage to invest in each subcategory with top picks [some suggested names-please provide your 2 or 3 top picks] and target buy price would be very helpful. (1) Engineering & Construction- WSP, NVEE, J, KBR, ETN and PWR [for electrification]; (2) Transportation- CNR, CP, TFII, CJT; (3) Goods: LMT, NOC, TDG, BWXT, DE, FLNG, FREY; (4) Services: WCN, GFL, TRI. Thank you.
Q: I understand that the prairie farmers are having a good year with above average crop yields. This should be positive for the railways if they have sufficient capacity; particularly CP. On the other hand, if we are heading into a recession, they could suffer. Given the recent pullback what is your outlook for the railways for the short to medium term.
Thanks for your insight.

Q: I have a significant amount of cash to invest. I would like to allocate to some very high-quality stocks across various industries that can be bought and held for a long period of time so they can compound. If you could pick 10 companies that meet this criteria, what would they be? I was thinking about BAM, MSFT, V, COST, CP, UNH, HD, JNJ, GOOG, BRK.b but am open to suggestions or changes to this list. No banks or energy please.
Q: Good afternoon 5i staff, Which asset class or classes are friendly for investors during a recession? For stocks, which sectors are to invest during a recession?
Two railway stocks, CP and CNR, which one do you prefer or should consider to split money equally to buy both of them?
Q: My question: Which railroad would be carrying crude to USA. which would 5i find favorable in this market. EQNR would the dividend be taxable and my research indicates it is very well operated. I am looking at 400 shares and 150 for railway
Q: I am looking at sector diversification and was considering CN or CP with a starting position. Do you favour either one of these entities for longterm growth (10 year)?
Q: While I am 'stocked up' in my industrial sector (TFII, WSP, CN, EIF, ATA, J, TT), I have read that with the CP/KCS merger/buyout and the agreement's dilution of CP shares, the next few days might be a significant opportunity to pickup CP shares. If the share price does drop, would you be a purchaser?
