Q: Donald Trump is causing so much uncertainty in both Canadian and US markets. Canada might even go into a recession.

I know that you mentioned that we should not react to the Trump threat.

However, if I had to sell all my stocks and ETFs ($400k) and start from scratch today, what would be the top 20 stocks/ETFs ( US and/or Canadian) that that you would invest in.

Would you just buy SPY/ZSP.to/ VGT/ SCHG ETFs in the USA market for safety?

Fyi, I don't like bonds.

Q: In a best case scenario, I think 4 years of Donald Trump in power will be chaotic and discruptive in the US and globally. In a worst case, I believe the US is heading for internal unrest/violence, and the certain parts of the globe will be at war. If you were a 74 year old investor who has done well listening to 5i the last 2 years, how would you now hedge against these scenarios?

Q: Hello 5i!

I have some cash to deploy and am light on industrials. I’m looking for US companies that are growth oriented and I was thinking about ROAD as an option. Could you give me a summary of why you like this company? (Or don’t like it?)

And are there any other industrials that you would prefer over ROAD for growth over the next 2-3 years?

Thanks for your incredible service!

Q: Hi 5i,

Thank for your previous answer to my question on potential US stocks to look at for potential investment.

Out of the list provided I am interested in potentially investing in: DLR; RTX; LULU

In the event of a "pull-back" in stock valuations that may or may not come, what would you consider to be a good entry point for these stocks. I am long term 5+ year investor and I am ok with high risk.

Thank you,

Greg C.

Q: Hi 5i,

Had to trim some of my US holdings today due to portfolio balancing/management.

Hoping you could recommend some potential US stocks to redeploy this capitol over the next few months when the opportunity comes up. Looking to hold for at least 5+ years and I am interested in growth and ok with risk.

I have already enough exposure to AI stocks (AMD/VRT/GOOG/MSFT). I am open to any other sector you suggest but was leaning towards something in the real estate or industrial sector.

Thank you in advance and love the service,

Greg C.

Q: Hello 5i,
I have a follow=up question about HIND:CA. When I look at the data on your company profile, the market cap shows as being 2.5 million. Both GlobeInvestor and the company website peg it at around 26 million. I am guessing that your feed has a typo?
Also, on the company website, they reference a number - "126 B" as being their "Average Market Capitalization". What does this reference in relation to the fund's market capitalization of 26.5 M?
I note, incidentally, that this fund's market cap seems to be slowly increasing. At what point should one take this fund seriously? Would increasing market cap need to be considered in conjunction with length of time as an operating fund before jumping in?
I am not quite ready to "pull the trigger" on this one, but it is very high on my list, and I am looking for "buy signals" as opposed to buying blind.
Many thanks for any insights you can offer.
Cheers,
Mike

Q: I am overweight both of these names. I am hoping for a recovery pop at which time I will seek to sell down a bit and spread the money out. Can you please give me a few other names that you might suggest for growth at this time? I sold booking holdings at a loss so please exclude that name. I am too afraid to buy back smci due to its wild volatility. I was consider coherent, Motorola, and Monolithic Power but am open to other suggestions. Thank you.

Q: Hello Team,

I am setting up a TFSA account for my son, he would be saving this money for a house down the road (at least 5-7 years away).

I was thinking maybe purchasing 3-4 stocks and 1 ETF for him to hold, can you let me know what you would recommend. We are going to deposit the max he can deposit which is 19.5K.

Looking to maximize growth.

Thanks.
