I'd like to raise some cash in my non-registered account. How would you rank these stock (from first to sell to last to sell)? All will be sold within about 4 years.
Thanks,
CG

Q: BIPC has had a good run lately, do you see much more near term upside with the dividend tax credit changes? I’m thinking to switch into PEY for the greater yield and more upside once we get a change in federal gov. Also I like the ability to write some covered calls.

What are your thoughts on this trade, and do you have any insights on timing?

Q: Good day everyone. My holding in the following companies represent 25.11% of my investment portfolio across 3 registered and 1 cash account:
BN 5.00 %
BAM 2.36 %
BIPC 2.22 %
BIP.UN 1.35 %
BEPC 1.25%
For a total of 12.18 % amongst the Brookfield group of companies

CSU 5.49 %
TOI 1.81 %
LMN 1.40 %
For 8.7 % in CSU and associated companies

MLF 4.23 %

Collectively these holdings represent about 25.11 % of my holdings at the end of the 3Q.

I understand that your services are not to give personal advice but would value and appreciate your opinion on the weighing of these investments, specifically in the Brookfield group. The portfolio has done reasonably well (thanks fot 5i) but don't want to get complacent.

Much appreciated.

Q: Hi 5i, Can you please explain what Brookfield's Oct 9/24 announcement re "Reorganization of Brookfield Infrastructure Corp" means for shareholders like me that hold full positions in BIP.UN vs BIPC. As other 5i subscribers have mentioned, does this reorganization suggest that BIPC will continue to gain vs BIP.UN? Thanks.

Q: What companies are held in BN and at what percentage for each stock/company (I know Brookfield partners is no longer listed), ie. BEP, BIP, BAM etc.
I know this question has been asked many times but I could not find the answer.
Thanks!

Q: I bought BIP.UN in a registered account about a year ago. Looking back, I would have been better to buy BIPC.

Looking forward ie over the long term, do you think that BIPC will continue to outperform on a total return basis?

Q: Given the current direction of the Canadian economy, my goal is to focus the majority of my investments in the US. According to Portfolio Analytics, currently 53% of my portfolio is US, 46% Canadian (the remainder being international). I believe my US holdings are significantly under-rated given the Canadian stocks I hold. I would appreciate ballpark figures regarding the US/international component of the following TSX listed stocks: WSP, TFII, BIPC, BEPC, BAM, BN, and HPS.A. This will enable me to get a better handle on what my actual US/international holdings are. Thank you.

Q: Please explain the difference of the business aspect between BN & BAM. As well, how do BEPC and BIPC related to either BN or BAM.

If I wanted to trim the number of Brookfield investments by owing one or two, which one would you recommend and reasons please.

Thank you,

Q: Hi, I hold both of these and while both seemed to be recovering a while back, BEPC headed back down and now BIPC is also tanking the last few days. What's your view on these two Brookfield companies? Do I sell one or both or hold and wait this out? Thanks for your help as always.

Q: One of life's little mysteries. BMO Investor line shows me as having" interest income" from BIPC and BEPC but no dividends. These are not the limited partnership shares. BAM shows as paying dividends. I have a call into BMO but wonder if you can shed light on this. Many thanks Al

Q: HI 5i,
I would like to initiate a position in Brookfield Infrastructure. I know the difference between BIPun and BIPC on how they are taxed. I would choose to buy BIP.un in a registered account, or BIPC in a regular account. BUT, the price difference is ridiculous ($40 vs $47). And the data I see on YahooFinance do not match, even if these two are more or less equivalent. Eg:
BIP.un: Eps=0.19 P/E=212
BIPC Eps=1.15 P/E=40
Could you clarify where is the truth in these numbers?

Q: I have core positions in all Brookfield entities. I've read a lot lately about higher demand for electricity and the need to expand electricity production capabilities. Are there other firms directly involved in the building out and monitoring of electricity supply, either nuclear or conventional that I should be looking into?
Thanks in advance. David

Q: I hold a 2% position of BDGI in a non registered account and considering it has had a decent run lately and reached 5i price target would it be a good trade to sell and buy into BIPC and or BEPC. I already have about a 2% position in BIPC and 1% in BIPC and collectively have about 9.4% position in the Brookfield group of companies (BAM -2.15%, BN - 4.3% BIPC -2% and BEPC -1%). I am thinking that lower interest rates would be favourable and the dividends are a good bonus. Your insight would greatly appreciated.
