Q: Hi 5i team,
Canadian financials account for 24% of our portfolio and 2% of this is in MFC in my TFSA account. I've held it for a number of years and I am up 50%. Presently, our total holdings are 60% Canada; 30% US and 10% International. I am thinking of selling MFC and replacing it with a US ETF or a fairly safe growth stock. I only have 1% in healthcare (split evenly between VHT and UNH in TFSA account) and am considering topping up based on MFC sale. Would appreciate your thoughts on this move. Thanks.

Q: I have been watching BA, UNH, V and MSFT for well over a year, they have all been growing their stock price at an impressive rate for over 5 years or more, and now wonder whether they have finally come down to a point where one could look to buy them with a margin of safety?

Q: UNH.us has been doing well. I am reluctant to trim but to avoid personal bias I ask:
Is valuation now too high? On price to Free cash flow, it looks expensive vs. history. s PEG is ~2 but ROE looks attractive at ~24%. Is such ROE sustainable given competitive forces at play ... I worry its moat is now not good as it was in the recent --- am I wrong?
Do you think UNH will GROW its dividend?
Is debt manageable?

Q: Hello 5i.

I have some cash and would like to add another US stock to my portfolio, and looking for a recommendation.

I currently own Enbridge (US market), Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, UnitedHealth Group AT&T and McDonald's.

Based on what I own, can you recommend 3 or 4 stocks which you think would be good for my portfolio?

Income is not necessary, but not a problem if it has a dividend. I am looking to invest in a well managed company, with good balance sheet, and good growth potential.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Q: Is United Health (UNH.us) one to sell given the unusual political volatility? My question was also prompted by my renewed awareness that I may have over-allocated funds to bio-tech companies, and older-line pharmaceutical companies listed in the US and Europe. UNH is neither bio-tech nor pharma, but would it be safe from the ongoing and apparently increasing Congressional frustration with the entire industry. How would the abolition of the Advanced Health Care Act affect UNH? I am fine riding out the political yelling, so long as you think UNH still has a good future, with dividend growth and some price appreciation.
