Q: Do you think post-election sentiment on solar is overly negative? At what point might solar investments start to look appealing again? Would you consider Enphase as a preferred investment option in this scenario? If not, could you recommend a solar stock with strong potential should sentiment improve.

Q: Enphase has had a tough year, and taken a nose dive from it highs; this year its been overly volatile, and much of that on a downward turn, with minimal rebounds. You have commented that growth is expected over the next few years. Is this then a good candidate for some loss harvesting and a re-buy, or does the conintued risk lean towards saying a final farewell? Thanks. Chris

Q: Acknowledging that 5i may not agree with my opinion here, if one were to believe that Solar-Wind Battery Storage systems will eventually be cheaper than Gas / Coal / Nuclear, etc. power, would BEP.UN be the best investment choice?

With regards to the above, are there any other Canadian options - even an ETF - for holding within a non-registered account. I'd want to avoid that T1135 form !

Q: Me thinks that spaceship that fearless leader Blaarg is piloting is actually an elaborate can of worms. In 10 years time, according to some environmentalists, we earthlings may be drowning in our own carbon-laced pollution, unless a better solution to or energy needs can be met. As a pessimistic Albertan, I suspect most of us will still be driving evil combustion engines in 2034; however, I am hopeful that there are some game changers in the energy horizon - maybe not Canadian - that may save the planet. Do you have any suggestions we can put on our watchlist? I'm waiting for 5i to beam me up !

Q: Hi 5i,

I've only owned ENPH for about 6 to 8 months but have been somewhat disappointed in the results. What do think of the company at this time and is it worth holding or should one think of moving on?

As an alternative, I'm considering NXT. What would you think about the switch?

It is for the growth portion of my portfolio.

Q: 4 disasters in my cash account these year. Each position down between 30-45%.

How would you proceed?
Can you please give a brief comment on each security with a recommendation to either sell or hold. If selling is advised to crystallize a loss, what would be a proxy? And lastly, would you buy any of them back after the 30 day window?

Please feel free to deduct credits as you deem fit.

Q: Do you think Blink looks interesting at these levels for a long term hold? Anything to do with the EV industry has been beaten up but sales are going to inevitably increase. Are you aware which business currently has a stranglehold on the home EV charging ports?

Q: Hi, I was wondering if I can get your opinion on these stocks I'm holding losses on ATZ down 50%, ENPH down 25%, CROX down 25% and GSY down 20%.
I did tax loss selling last year in late December which bit me hard when the stocks took off in January with me sitting on the sidelines. Should I consider selling any of these now with the intention of buying back in 30 days and harvesting the tax loss? If so which would you suggest selling and which would you buy back? Short of that would you suggest averaging down on any of these instead? Thanks in advance! Take as many credits as you wish.
