I know these are some of your favorite cyber security stocks. All of them have drifted down recently. Your uncanny call for FTNT's price of 59 has been reached AND breached!
What would be your new entry points fr these? Please feel free to add any other name if you feel it is warranted.
I'm trying to clean up my US Portfolio so that I'm at 20-25 equities total. Please advise which 20-25 companies you would keep for a 5-10+ hold with balance/diversification but also some growth in mind.
How would you rank cybersecurity stocks in terms of your favourites and best long term growth. Also, do any have the chance to be apart of the next trillion dollar cos?
Q: Hello, I am interested in the cybersecurity space and I am interested to have your opinion of PANW for a 5-10-year hold. I look at PANW because I only want to buy CDRs. Thanks.
Q: Thank you for answering my earlier question on the screening criteria for Options. Your customary comprehensive and measured answer has an inbuilt framework for an article by itself! Your words of caution is appreciated.
Using the criteria that you have outlined in that answer i.e. Mkt cap 10 B+, Good cash position and sales and earnings growth, positive cash flow and reasonable volatility and momentum, can you give me 5 stocks for writing covered calls?
Where I get stumped is that some good companies give paltry premiums! Hence this question!
Q: Could you please provide 3-4 names of US companies that you buy now in each of the following sectors: Technology, communications, industrial, discretionary, and Materials.
Q: In a high growth portfolio I hold the following US stocks: CRWD, GOOGL, NVO, Uber and the ETF XT. I think I would like to replace the ETF XT with a single growth stock. XT has done okay for me in that it has doubled but that took nearly 10 years. Can you recommend a faster growing US stock that would be a good fit?
Q: I want to spend the next 14 months growing my TFSA to pay down my mortgage when it comes due in June 2025. I started this quest about 6 months ago with 20% of the funds, and I'm now about halfway there. I have funds in US for 6 positions, and Canadian for 3, and currently own the above stocks. I haven't yet made my TFSA contribution for 2024, so could add a position to either. Keeping in mind the remainder of my portfolio is well balanced (cash account and RRSP) and this is a 14-month growth mission, do you see anything I should sell, or can you recommend something I should buy?
Q: On the software security front, my opinion is that the general, PANW is slipping a bit and being reigned in by CRWD, NET, ZS. What is your opinion on these, and also S? Could you please rank for growth over the next 5 years?
Q: Sorry for asking another tech ranking but I read a question about some of your best ideas currently and I want to mesh with my current holding. Can you please rank the above stocks for purchase/hold today?
Thank you
On Feb 28th 5i provided answers to Jacques and David on the top 10 US and CAD stocks to own in a TFSA. Thank you for that answer.
Can you please provide the top 12 stocks overall (CAD or US) in order of priority that should be in a TFSA? We have both US and CDN funds + CDR's. Diversity is not important at this time and we are anticipating that US stocks will outnumber CAD stocks in the top 12. Funds are not required for 6 years or more.
If this was your TFSA, would you have equal weighting or will one or more of the stocks have a higher weighting compared to other stocks? If yes, can you identify the stock(s) and the % of weighting? We can equal weight the remaining stocks.
Q: I held equal positions in Crwd Ftnt and Panw. Last week I trimmed 1/3 of my Crwd at 363 when it bounced up for a large gain. Crwd has dropped back a bit to the 320s. I am thinking of selling my Panw at a small gain and buying back my Crwd and adding to Ftnt.
What do you think of this plan? I appreciate all your good advice.
Thanks Peter
With the long-rumored conversion of US currency to digital format, and presumably Canadian followup, what types of companies will most profit from these changes and what specific recommendations do you have? Are there any overall structural changes to handling a portfolio that you suggest?
Thanks for your ongoing great service.
CROWDSTRIKE exploded $370 after earnings and has proceeded to fall right back to the $328 range. Analysts have been tripping over themselves to upgrade and raise target prices above $400.
What did you think of earnings and of crowdstrike? Where would it fit in your pecking list and at what price would you add?
