Q: Morning. As always your analysis is greatly appreciated.

Are there any generalizations you have on what sectors would benefit from a Harris win in the US election and what sectors would not benefit from a Harris win. I assume the answers would be opposite for a Trump win.

Q: Hi with interest rates beginning to edge lower what would be the sectors most likely to benefit? Could you give me a couple of your favourite picks for each of those sectors. Would you be edging in, fully buying in, or hold off for a possible October correction? With the likely chaotic return of Trump to the Presidency would the Renewable stocks such as BEPC be at risk of correcting under this scenario? He does not like windmills much... Thank you for your service and deduct credits as you see fit.

Q: Hello, I have bought these during Covid and now >70% down. They are in TFSA and RESP so I can’t claim the tax loss. I don’t need the money for next 5 years in RESP, and can hold for long time in TFSA, would you suggest holding them or take a loss and use the rest of the funds somewhere else (VRT or GOOGL)? Thank for your service.
Regards
Rahul

Q: I struggle with the whole concept of "green".
The whole thing is driven by politics, not market forces.(making "dirty" fuels artificially expensive so that subsidized "green" energy can compete).
Here is my question: Yes, there are strong ideologies pushing this, but unless "we" adopt socialist command economy wholesale, market forces must eventually prevail?
"Green stocks/ ETFs are up, but buying them seems to me betting on a lame horse.
Would appreciate your take on this, and also if holding BAM.A could be considered a compromise. They seem to be gung- ho for "green" investments. Am also looking at PBW, but don't like the price.
My interest in this subject is limited yo next ~5 years.
Thank you
jerry

Q: Hi team,
Being overweight in the tech sector, which ETFs of my present portfolio (above) would you suggest to drop either because they are too similar or not representing strong growth ?
Which of these ETF you would consider « Buy and forget » type ?
In addition, I hold the following tech stocks: TOI-T, CRWD-Q, NVDA-Q, TTD-Q, LSPD-T, ENPH-Q, QCOM-Q, SHOP-T, APPS-Q, SEDG-Q. As I need to raise cash, is it better to sell ETFs or individual stocks and which ones ?
Please use credits as you see fit.
Grateful for your attention,

Jacques IDS

Q: These etf's have been producing real good returns. Is this replacing the old oil that is feeling that the best is over and now we are going into a new energy field for the future, faster than we thought. These seem like a good way to get a large exposure to new and fast growing company's. Good Day.
