Last year around this time, you were asked to guess a few names in the US or CDN Market that had 100 bagger potential. Some of the names mentioned were WELL, TTD, LSPD, XBC, MGNI, PLTR, VEEV, PINS, KRR, & STC. Just wondering if there were any names you would add or delete from this list? I realize identifying the next 100 bagger is next to impossible, just for some fun.

Q: So I'm trying to decide what to do with all my positions that are less than 2% of my portfolio. Both LSPD and BLDP are (1.4% and 1.06%, respectively) and I need to decide if I top up to 2%+ or dump them. Remarkably, I'm up 50 and 60% on both.

I've got my own opinions on what to do, but value 5i's input to these sorts of things. Are these stocks worthy of doubling down on, or should I move on?

Note that I still like the spaces these two operate in, so if you suggest I move on, please recommend a replacement for each.

Q: Are there any warrants on LSPD?

Q: 1) One of the reasons I bought LSPD was due to a large ownership position by the Caisse De Depot Et Placement Du Quebec. If they dump their position then I will as well. Have they sold during the past six months, including during the recent share price decline?

2) I'm OK with a valuation reset as part of a long term fundamental growth trajectory. The stock is now broken. In your opinion, is the company's business and future prospects broken as well?

Q: Today on Yahoo Financial there was about fifteen class action lawsuits news releases brought up against LSPD. I know that these law suits do not usually go to far but with this many, is there a serious problem with the stock, Is it a buy, hold or sell. I have done very well with it thanks to 5I but it looks like it has lost it's glimmer.

Q: Is there a need to readjust these significant losers in a RRIF ?
My Tech is over 20% now (even with LSPD loss). If I were to "trim" the tech down would you keep LSPD and sell KXS and reinvest is something less volatile in a otherwise balanced RRIF ? maybe BCE, CNR, GSY, or FTS ?

In response to Robert’s question of Nov 10 regarding your thoughts on what folks will wish they had done before interest rates start going back up, you said “…we would reduce very expensive growth stock exposure…”

My 24 year-old has a concentrated, strongly growth-oriented TFSA (at least 10+ yr investment horizon). He’s comfortable in holding higher weightings and “letting the winners run” of those companies that seem to have “staying power”, recognizing that there will be inevitable periods of under performance in their stock performance from time to time (LSPD, for example) but that over the “long-term” they should produce attractive returns. The growth stocks that have done well for him so far include:

GSY (+434% return/16% portfolio weighting)
LSPD (+432%/9%)
KXS (+161%/15%)
TOI (+42%/12%)
HUT (+103%/6%)

He also has the following growth stocks that (so far) have been less than stellar:

AT (-39% return/4% portfolio weighting)
MAGT (-29%/3%)
NVEI (-10%/4%)
WELL (-1%/7%)

Which of the above would you consider “very expensive” and reduce exposure to, regardless of current weightings? In general, aside from personal risk tolerance/comfort levels, how do you determine by how much or to what level, you would reduce “very expensive” holdings to versus simply “letting the winners run” over the long-term? Which of the above stocks that are currently in the red would you reduce exposure to given this is a TFSA (no tax loss benefit if selling for possible later buy-back) - rather than riding out (potential opportunity cost) what is hopefully just the volatility inherent in growth stocks and a period of under-performance (of indeterminate length, admittedly) - assuming no changes in the investment thesis and fundamentals of these companies and the long-term investment horizon.
