Q: Hi,
Currently holding around 25% tech exposure, long term growth investor. If I wanted to de-leverage my portfolio and rebalance to some other sectors, how would you rank these tech stocks?

Do you have any fundamental concerns about any of the names held or is this a good list? NVDA is on my list of names to own as well. Thank you!

Q: Can I get a list of top 5 oversold stocks in both Canada and the US?

Q: Strongly considering buying back the 40% I sold few months ago due to in rease in share price, used procedes to to open new didvdend position.
This would bring me back to just under 4% weighting and reduce overall cost per share about 10% on LSPD.
I beleive they will return to previous highs and go beyond, I'm okay with it's volatility, see it as another GSY growth wise and not as bumpy, can I get you comments.
Regards
Don

Q: Since both stocks have been hit hard of late - for similar reasons. Which stock would you think has the best chance of short-term recovery and long-term success. I own some NVEI shares but was wondering if it might be good to trigger the loss and replace with LSPD shares if it had a stronger outlook. Or if going a more conservative route - what 3 or 4 stocks would you say have decent growth prospects and good valuations and could pick up a decent amount of shares if have about $5k?

Q: Its great when companies that are under short attack, such as LSPD and now also NVEI, post earnings in successive quarters to prove up their business and invalidate the short thesis. But why stop there? Why do these companies not take the opportunity to very aggressively buy back their own shares? Even if it requires adding some leverage to the balance sheet with cheap debt if needed. Reducing the float is good for earnings, good for existing shareholders and very bad for short sellers.

The passive response of Canadian companies under attack invites more attacks. Carl Ichan killed some very committed shorts in Herbalife, a truly garbage company, using more aggressive tactics.

Thanks.

Q: In your answer to Rob today you state 'we don't think the company has really done anything 'wrong'.'

You've looked closely at the report and earnings now. What do you 'really' think the company did? Please speculate on what you feel went wrong. If the short report wasn't completely false, what did it maybe get right? Were mistakes made through omission? Were they simply growing too fast or playing a little fast and loose with the rules? No doubt there is a trade here but is this a company and management that you still have the same long term respect and confidence in as 6 months ago?

A past short report on SHOP has been mentioned on several occasions as a comparison. Did the management at SHOP make similar mistakes, if any, and is this par for the course? Or is this situation with LSPD different?

thanks, Mark

Q: Everyone,
If one was to start buying LSPD when would you start. I don’t sell or buy very often because I am a long term holder but I am interested in adding to my position. I would look at a minimum of three up days in a row with above average or heavy trading volumes with a minimum of 15% gain in those days. Fundamentally nothing has changed in the last few months except the price people are willing to pay for growth. What are your thoughts.

Q: Hi 5i,

I'm looking to add to my TFSA. No concern with volatility and looking to hold for minimum 3-5 years. I already hold TOI (1/2 position) but don't yet own any LSPD. Would you favour adding to existing TOI or start a new (small-ish) position in LSPD. If you were to start a position in LSPD, how would you go about deciding on when to buy? I struggle with this...the stock is down quite a bit, so $60/share seems attractive but would you prefer 2-3 days of positive momentum before buying? Do you use technical analysis (I have no experience with this) when considering an entry into these growth stocks? Invariably I'm always wrong when trying to time a good entry into growth stocks but I suppose it doesn't matter too much in the long run if it performs well...

Finally, can you name 1 other growth stock you'd prefer to start a position in today (if not TOI or LSPD)?

Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i Team - Once again thanks for your calm and to-the-point advice on guiding us through another volatile market situation. This is yet another question on Lightspeed. There are four parts: What is its cash position, does it have debt and if so is it manageable, what are the insider holdings/ has there been any recent buying or selling, does it have a solid management team that can guide it through this turmoil. Thanks.
