Q: Hi Peter

I have question regarding the following list of “fallen angels”. These ten stocks have achieved significant drops in valuation since Dec. 31, 2020. Can you please rank these “fallen angels” in terms of the best risk-return profile over a five-to-ten-year hold? Everyone likes a bargain! Sometimes it is possible to survive a falling knife particularly if you use tungsten as a shield!

Q: Dear 5i Team,

If there was an option to totally liquidate all of the investments someone had and start with a clean slate, which 20 stocks US and Canada (10 each) would you recommend for a 10 year horizon?

Thank you for your advice as always,

Much appreciated.

Q: Hello,
I would like to rebalance my technology exposure.
You mentioned putting in stink bids to pick up bargains.
Could you tell me what you suggest for stink bids on SHOP, LSPD, TOI and SYZ.

Thank you very much

Q: I have 1/2 position in these names and down. I recall you generally don't recommend averaging down. Would you add here for the long term?

Specifically about LSPD, has anything changed at the company except for the CEO?

Thank you,

Q: Like a previous subscriber wrote, we also appreciate your most recent report: specifically, the numeric historical context of this current correction, the sectors affected and those most likely to benefit.
We are invested in each of the three of the 5i portfolios and over the next 1-2 months plan to make staggered and targeted contributions.
Could you suggest 3 or 4 companies from each portfolio where the winds of sentiment are excessively negative and would be attractive to purchase with this approach?
This is for a 5+ years hold.
Thank you

Q: In line w/ sentiments expressed in the latest market update (thank you for that), would you put any of these names in the "likely beyond repair column"? Or do they all fall firmly in the "damaged but not broken" column?

Q: Hi 5i
What Game Plan would you consider executing for the following situations...........?
For all these stocks I have been holding off taking action as there has been no new information to support any action. Now given rapid price decline, I have become concerned about share restructuring and shareholders being diluted to death for the micro caps.
I will be waiting for earnings on the ones still to be released.
While you do not want to hear it, all these except XBC/LSPD were 5i induced purchases so some thoughts on possible action at this point would be appreciated.
None of these are causing me a problem except for being down.
As a Portfolio Manager, how best to manage these positions inside a broadly diversified Portfolio?
If they are to be kept, at some point I will have to either add to the tiny positions or get rid of them. But when and on what information?

TFSA Holdings (where the growth is supposed to be)
QST - down 40%. Size is now at half position size at this point.
XBC - down 38%. Size is now back to near full position size after riding the round trip.
STC - was up 25% and now down 20%, Half position size.

Taxable Account
AT - Down 19%. Sitting on half position since buying on Jan 12/22
ANRG - Down 37%. Sitting on less than half position since buying on Feb 2/22
LSPD - Down 64% on a poorly executed Options trade. Hold only 1/3 position.

And KXS which disgusts me as I knew I should have sold while I watched it at $229. Position size is full position.

Thanks
Dave

Q: I know the environment is iffy, but with tech on sale, and other tech (also on sale) flush cash, when do the bigger fish start gobbling up the smaller fish, and what, in your opinion, is holding them back? Thank-you.

Q: Two years ago, energy fund managers were pounding the table to buy oil and gas stocks.
Whoever listened did great.
Now tech prices continue to plummet. The prices are off 60-80%.
Should I pick a few and wait two years for a similar upsurge?
Would you buy shop, lspd, dcbo, toi, nvei or nvda and please rank them with a brief overview.
Thank you.

Q: This company is at March 2020 lows. Do you have conviction in this name or would you suggest putting sale proceeds into DSG, PBH or CAE for instance? I have plenty of IT exposure already. Thank you.

Q: Today, would you buy LNR with p/b of 0.95 and no debt or MG with 2.7B debt and b/b of 1.91. LNR has a wide range of products, other than automotive.
When is LSPD a screaming buy with p/b of 1.13 and 900M in cash?
Many thanks!

Q: Hello. I bought LSPD in May of 2021 and NVEI in September of 2021. They were both doing great but I'm now down 65% on LSPD and 59% on NVEI. I'm planning on holding them both for the rest of the year and see what happens. I had some significant gains last year so I can use the losses against those if they don't recover, but I'm also open to waiting longer. What would your advice be?
