Q: I wonder if the sum of your report card categories for PM reflect your overall opinion of the company. Your report has 12 categories and PM received 83% of A, 33 % of B and 17% C. Yet, It's overall rating is C+. Does this suggest that some categories should be weighted or do you need more categories or maybe C+ is too severe? ...Sleepless in Niagara
Q: What do you think of Prism Medical (PM)? Seems to trade at a decent valuation with pretty good growth for next year. Any thoughts on their management and how stable their particular sector is regarding government regulation? Lastly, are their any particular red flags with this company I'm missing?
Q: Hello, I have a small position in this stock. Since I purchased it, it has increased in value by 15%. I am thinking of adding more to my position. The stock has a ROE of 50%, a P/E of 3.3, trades at double its book value, has a 5.5% yield and has exceeded its profit projections on the last two quarters. On this basis, it appears to be a excellent value. My question is "am I missing something?"
Q: Small play on stay at home health care. Does it have similar growth potential of a Patient Home (PHM)? Would you consider it currently overvalued?
Thanks
I have no exposure to the healthcare sector in my portfolio right now. Aside from Valeant and Catamaran, could you recommend a couple of stocks in Canada and a couple of stocks in the U.S. that look attractive from a valuation basis?
Q: PM Prism Medical
Hi Peter and Ryan: The auction price is $8 to $8.75. The shares were appraised at $9 to $9.80. Do you think the shares will wind up around $9 after the buy back?
Thanks.
Q: I recently read this in a publication "The percentage of people over 65 continues to increase each year. According to a University of Ottawa report, by 2021 - just seven years from now - there will be 6.9 million Canadians age 65 or older. They will represent 17.8% of the total population." Where can we invest our money to capitalize on this demographic trend? Thank-you.
Q: I like Ryan Modesto's recommendation to invest in tobacco companies as a play on medical marijuana. Any in particular? Spread it out over PM, RAI, MO, LO? Others? Maybe the individual investor can build a small "etf" by adding one or two risky companies? Recent inheritances put $100k U.S. in the bank, and I could reasonably dedicate it to this sector, even though I don't need the income from the tobacco dividends. Thank you.
