Q: Hello,

I wanted to discuss Pfizer, a company with a dividend yield of 6%. Its yield and growth prospects appear more appealing than those of many other dividend stocks, including those in the telecommunication and utility sectors.

My question is: What is your opinion on purchasing Pfizer as a dividend stock for my RRSP and waiting for its recovery? Do you anticipate that it will regain market momentum either this year or sometime next year?

Thank you for your insights!

Q: PFE share price is at a low for the past 10 years. It has a low PE with an attractive dividend that pays while you wait. Is the growth profile really that bad that it should be falling out of bed? My suspicion is that in reverting to the mean following the Covid revenue burst the market has overshot and it is unduly punishing the stock. This would represent an excellent buying opportunity, no?

Q: HI folks
Sadly, I am down on all of these somewhere between 60 to 95%!!! They mostly but not all started out as somewhat small positions 2 to 4 years ago! I have time to wait longer but: 1)are there any that are absolute failures and therefore should be sold. 2) Would you please rate the selIs from 1 to 10 ..10 being the absolute SELL. 3)How many years should I give these? (tough to answer but just a guess). I will not get much at all for any of them! Please take as many credits as you see fit.
Much Thanks and happy Family weekend

Q: hi,
I hold all these, several fro many years. they are all in the red. many are (former) stalwart blue chip dividend plays. I am basically comfortable holding them, and I do expect a good rebound in prices when rates start to fall. 1) am I missing something? are there any in the list that you think the dividend may be in jeopardy, or you see no runway for growth ( small or large). 2) are there any in the list you would be comfortable adding to ( which is what I am wanting to do)?
cheers, Chris

Q: I know pharma stocks like LLY and NVO are hot (and expensive) now due to the success of their GLP-1 drugs but what about the other big pharma stocks like PFE and BMY that have been hammered post-covid and now yield up to 6%? PFE has bounced from $26 to about $28 today but is it too soon? Value traps? Dead money? What is your opinion of when to get in (if ever)? Thanks.

I want to add the IJT etf. any thoughts on positions size ( half, full) right now, based on current price of IJT? if you had to sell from my list of current equites, what order would you do it in - and would you sell any completely in exchange for IJT ?
cheers and happy holidays! Chris

Q: I have held MFC for decades, have enjoyed the dividend but have had less than 1% pa capital growth with lots of volatility. I am seeing PFE near five-year lows and paying a dividend yield slightly higher than MFC. MFC is in my RRIF so there are no capital gains or dividend taxation issues to consider. My weighting in health care stocks and financial stocks are about the same, so there are no sector allocation issues. MFC seems to be finally moving higher and the interest rate environment should help it in the longer term, making me wonder if I should hang in. Especially with MFC still trading around 8 x earnings, it could easily move up 50% and still trade at a multiple comparable to its financial peers. However, I am intrigued by the opportunity to switch into PFE for a better yield and longer term growth. Would you make the trade to PFE or stick with MFC?

Q: Hi Folks,

My RRSP portfolio consists of the above stocks all with relatively the same weighing. Can you suggest 5 names or so, (CDN and U.S) that I take a look at that would complement the above? I am looking for a company that would be a good buy today for both income and capital appreciation - total return.
Thanks

Q: These two healthcare stocks have had their troubles lately and are down considerably. You have recommended them in the past, and I'm wondering if you still recommend them as long term dividend stocks? Do you think this is a good entry point or would you wait? Do they have potential to eventually gain momentum and do better?

Q: Hi folks,
I am looking to replace GILD in my TFSA. I currently hold ABBV, LLY, PFE and WELL in other accounts. I am looking for a name that pays a good dividend and has some potential for growth. Can you suggest a couple of names I can take a look at or should I add one of the names I already hold.
Thanks

Q: Realizing that PFE's dividend has been rising annually at only about 3% in recent years, and recognizing that a portion of "moving the growth needle" will be done by acquisition, would it still be a good buy at around the $27 level (longterm technical support) ?

Also:

-How does their debt situation compare to its historical measure?

- Do you have any thoughts regarding AI in the sector, and whether or not PFE is currently using it ?
