Q: Hi 5i, I have the following stocks (NVDA CSU LMN HPS.A BN XDIV RY CNQ JPM BRK.B VDY ENB) equally distributed in my rrsp, these stocks are generating 75% of my dividend-income goal. What changes would you suggest to get the last 25% , I do not mind selling my gold-stocks (the first 3) , but I would prefer to keep them. Hope it makes sense. Thank you 5i.

Q: The most recent question I found on USB was August last year. What is your current opinion on USB? Can you compare it to Visa for total possible return over a 5 year period? I presently hold no US financials.
Thank you.

Q: In reference to your answer that we should consider being overweight the US at this time, can you give one US name in each sector for modest growth (not dividends) over the next few years? Please take as many credits as necessary with thanks.

Q: Hi, looking at the financial sector. I have TD and IFC and looking to add another. The options I am looking at is another Canadian bank that benefits from US exposure (RY), a US bank (JPM) or ETF of banks (ZBK), or diversifying away from North America to a major UK (LYG) or European (ING) bank. My objective is downside safety paired with dividend income and some growth. I realize global stocks aren't your focus, but would appreciate any thoughts you might have on relative merits of these stocks.

Q: Hello, I recently sold my rental property in 2022, and I now have funds sitting in the bank, earning interest. My ultimate goal is to invest this money wisely and create a portfolio that can serve as an inheritance for my loved ones. I am currently in the process of assembling a collection of high-quality stocks.

For me, the presence or absence of dividends is not a decisive factor when selecting stocks. Could you kindly recommend two top-performing stocks in each sector of the global market? These core holdings will play a crucial role in achieving my long-term financial objectives.

As of now, I have already purchased shares in NVIDIA (NVDA), Meta, Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Alphabet (GOOGL), Canada: Goeasy (GSY), Nuvei (NVEI), Definity Finacial (DFY), Boyd Group(BYD), Thomson Reuters (TRI), Aritzia (ATZ), and Nutrien (NTR).

Thank you in advance for your valuable insights.

Q: Can i have your perspective on the relative merits ( payoff) of private wealth companies like Blackstone, Carlyle Group as opposed to banks in either Canada or the USA such as a BNS or JPM , for example. ie would you expect better performance from the private wealth management or banks.

Q: I have some cash to deploy but am feeling that everything is too expensive amidst the current euphoria.

Do you think it is worth sitting on cash, at least for a while, to see if things settle?

On the other hand, can you recommend 3-5 stocks in Canada and US that are at a good current price.

Also, and please take more points, can you name your top 2 sectors in each country.

Q: Is a crunch coming again to Regional Banks with exposure to commercial Property.

A lot of empty space and people are not coming back to offices. I BM said come back or find another job. How bad is it. Is it wise to avoid all Banks fir the next few months.

* heard that South Korean Pension Funds ate deeply exposed to U S Commercial Buildings as are Regional Banks

New York and California are a disaster

Avoid or start to accumulate on weakness

What banks look good to you ?

Q: Hi 5i, I currently hold JPM in a registered account and I'm looking for more growth in the next 5 to 10 years. Which of the three listed has the best growth profile and is shareholder friendly. I want to stay in the financial sector and if you have a better idea, an idea listed as a CDR, please suggest. Thx.

Q: JPM has had a decent run but I'm thinking of swapping it for Mastercard. Can I get your thoughts please?

Palo Alto has also been terrific, but I'm trying to add more AI into my portfolio. I'd like to sell it and find a new name, CDN or US. I own MSFT, AAPL, Salesforce, GOOG, Meta, NVDA, Constellation, Shopify and Kinaxis. I was thinking of Taiwan Semi, AMD or Broadcom, but can I get your thoughts please?

Q: Hello 5i,
I am up 56% to 90% on the MSFT, JPM, MRK,ABBV, AND PEP amongst a few others. It has been said to take profit if a holding is up 30%. I have held these for about 20 years and do not need the funds. Should I realize the 30% profit or let these continue to rise according to your advice of "letting the winners run" before a black swan occurs.
