Q: I have some cash that I would like to put to work and I have small positions that I would like to reduce. My main objective is growth with a bias towards low beta equities at this time in my work life. I am about 4 years away from my planned retirement.

These are most of my held equities along with weightings. NVDA 13.3% CSU 6.4% BN 6.4% SAN 5.4% SHOP 4.8% CRWD 4.3% TOI 3.8% VRT 3.4% ENB 3.2% BIP-UN 2.6% BEP-UN 2.3%. The following are 1-2% positions 13.5% as group; COST TD ATZ BNS AMZN TTD PANW PRL BRK.B. The rest are< 1%/each approx 10% as group BCE ASML HPS-A TMDX ISRG TMO GSY ASPN DELL SNOW NXT.

I plan on continuing to hold most of these positions including the smaller positions (<2% positions). I would like to reduce the number of these smaller holdings.
Could you please rank these smaller positions with the keepers at one end of the spectrum to goers at the the opposite end of the spectrum.

Thanks for this.

Q: Hello 5i:
I want to add to my AI exposure with a 3 – 5 year horizon.
I already have sufficient TSLA and AAPL, and moderate positions in NVDA and MSFT, and a starting position in PLTR.
What would be your choice(s) for adding to any of these, and/or starting new positions such as AVGO, DELL , TSM, or others? I have avoided GOOG due to possible breakup legislation.
Many thanks for your ongoing great service.

Q: Good Morning
Setting aside the results, clearly they were good, but just focusing on market expectations and future returns, would you initiate a position in NVIDIA today? What other themes for AI would you look at going forward?
Thank you

Q: I’ve heard that data centre spending between now and 2030 will fall into three buckets: CPUs, Ai accelerators, and infrastructure, where CPUs are the slowest growing segment. Do you agree with that framework, and if so, could you briefly explain the difference between these three areas and recommend the best companies in each? Thank you.

Q: These companies are often discussed as rivals. In light of SMCI’s results, what do you think of the prospects for HPE and DELL in relation to SMCI? If you had to rank them, which ones get the gold, silver and bronze?

Q: Hi 5i,

I have a question about currency as it relates to investments made to the TSX or US stock exchanges.

I am embarrassed to ask given this was likely a rookie move; posting publicly in case it helps others.

I have made investments via my TFSA, LIRA, RRSP and self directed investment account in some US equities (above).

What I perceive now to be a "problem" is that all purchases of US stocks (including those with dividends) were made out of my CA account of said RRSP, TFSA, LIRA etc. given I did not hold any USD$ in my investment accounts.

Yesterday there were a few questions around Norbert’s Gambit approach (which I am not familiar with) and I have since realized the error of my ways. Here are my questions - knowing you cannot personalize responses - but if it were YOU :

- 1) As a Canadian, should the purchase of any US equity always be purchased using US funds in said investment account? OR when available - should you purchase on the CA stock exchange?

- 2) What is the best way to transfer CAD from said investment account into the US corresponding account if one wants to be mindful of fees, exchange rates etc. (is that Norbert's approach?)

-3) What would you suggest I do for the US equities I currently own in CA accounts? Is there anything to do?

Please use any credits you see fit.
Thanks a Million.

Q: Hi 5i!
Piggy backing off one of my last questions on building a solid portfolio from scratch through diversification et al(THANK YOU!). Knowing you can’t get personal; looking for some mid to long term hold recommendations (either US or CA) in the following sectors with growth upside in mind as I have significant cash (250K+) sitting in my RRSP doing nothing. I am currently quite top heavy in Tech – and own the above in registered and non-registered accounts.

If you have several recos for a sector, can you please rank in order of preference. Additionally, if there is a sector that can be put to the side with the idea of prioritizing others, I would be keen to know. Also open to add ETF's to represent a sector. As always, thanks a million. I love your service.

Q: In many of your answers regarding the AI phenomenon, SMCI used to pop up along with VRT. VRT has hung in there very nicely, but SMCI is struggling near a 60% haircut from its peak. From your last comment on May23, you advise to keep both eyes on it, but I,m wondering if some compitition is affecting the company. Who are its closest competitors? How did the last quarter report compare to the previous 7 quarters, and would that explain the current negative momentum? What should the next report show that would give me comfort to hang in there?

Thanks, Lionel

Q: I used to own NVDA at <$100/share and foolishly sold it around $300 USD before it started to climb vertically. I am now too chicken to buy back in. What would be some names to own in the AI and Semi conductor theme that are still reasonably priced? Or would you suggest sitting out of this theme for now?
I already own MSFT and GOOG.

Q: Hi
Thank you for your assistance with my portfolio style questions. I am looking at a company, Vertiv? What are their prospects, would this be a good stock to invest for the next 5 years and are there similar stocks that may be better purchases?
