Q: I noticed in your disclosure you have an interest in TLT, I hold ZTL which I assume is comparable?

Horizons Seasonal Rotation ETF as of May 31, 2023 has 75% in 0-3 month T-bills & 6% in 7-10 years with no exposure beyond that.

Could you help me understand the risk/reward difference between the ultra-short term and ultra-long term T-bills and which I would be better with in todays market and assumption interest rates may have peaked, or should I cover both ends?

Q: Hi
I am holding about 50 % cash

Does it make sense to just hold it for a while or put it into USA treasuries. And if so what would be the best choice? Stocks like ztl zvi or zmu or something else

Currently I hold no bonds … mostly dividend stocks like bce- enb- dvn - financials - reits.

Thanks

Q: Since the world is engaged in massive bailouts and handouts, does taking a position in US treasuries become more appealing. I know very little about govt bonds other than they are supposed to be safe and they are uncorrelated to the stock market, but if the US govt (and everyone else) is going to buy huge amounts of their own treasuries, it seems this might be a place to make money, not just store it. Is this thinking flawed?
If i take a position in ztl, is this just a safety play, or can it continue to make big gains? Are there other long bond etfs that i should consider?
Thanks for all your help in demystifying the investing world

Q: If the U.S. dollar takes a big hit in the next couple of years, maybe a 20% drop can you explain what would happen to the value of say ZTL. the CDN dollar version of the u.s. long term treasury bond. TLT has been the place to be ever since rates started falling over the last 20 years. On a currency devaluation i would think people would head for the exits pretty quickly?
thanks Gord
