Q: Looking at these long term compounders in various sectors. Based on current valuation and future growth, how would you rank these and which ones would you buy now or DCA into over time?

I'm already holding full positions in BKNG, BN, CSU, LMN, half positions in V,MA,WSP, and smaller position in TRI. I would either add to my smaller positions or add new positions in the others.

Are there any other 2-3 long term compounders that you would consider good buys currently?

Thank you!

Q: Would appreciate your assessment of TRI and INTA. These 2 stocks in the professional services sub-sector appear to be accelerating due to AI. Correct me if I am wrong but do you see increasing TAM attributable to improved service to clients and and reduced costs. Would you have high conviction or less so with this idea? How would you rate these or others in the professional services sub-sector.
More generally, are there other industrial sub-sectors where AI is improving client services and reducing costs. Any other names to suggest.

Q: Peter, is there a list of TSX listed companies that get a majority of their earnings from US operations ? With US protectionism and aggression likely to increase is it a sound strategy to focus on these companies with the $Cdn portion of a equity retirement portfolio ? Thank you.

Q: It seems the economies of Canada and the United States are diverging and not for the better in Canada. This makes it difficult for me to buy Canadian companies as opposed to American. My question is, have any Canadian companies foreseen an advantage to shifting a good part of their operations to the United States to take advantage of the possibilities for making better profits?

Q: Hello to you! I know these are different companies at different stages of their cycles. You very recently suggested BYD, and have relatively recently recommended the other two stocks. Would you be able to rank them in order of preference if you bought them today? I'm looking for the best midterm to long-term growth. I love the service, thank you!

Q: Hi
I am looking at adding or making an initial purchase in the stocks listed. Could you rank these for me based on growth and sustainability. Are there any of these stocks that you would have concerns with purchasing for the short term-2 to 3 years? What would be the concerns?
Thanks, Len

Q: Hi team,

Grateful if you could provide a list of what you see as the best canadian and the best U.S. blue chips at this time for building a solid portfolio with a growing future. It would help to know what guided your choices.

Deduct as many credits as you see fit.

Gratefully,

Q: Greetings, can you suggest a handful of Canadian names (not financials) that you would consider to have a “margin of safety” right now? I know value ideas aren’t necessarily your investing style, but I don’t want any more money sitting on the sidelines while “waiting for the other shoe to drop”, so looking for something steady with a reasonable dividend that might offer some downside protection. Thank you.

Q: I have held PBH in my cash account for sometime and am up a paltry 6%. I'm considering selling and replacing with either LLY, HD or TRI. Looking for greater growth and willing to take on moderate risk. 3-5 year hold. I know these companies are apples and oranges, but I would appreciate your views on risk and reward for PBH, LLY, HD and TRI and which you would recommend I hold going forward. Thank you.

Q: Good Morning

I have a non registered account solely for Canadian listed US Dividend payers. My timing isn’t great but I need to raise some US cash within the next year. My untouchables are BAM and CSU. Of the remaining 3 holdings which between TRI,BEP and AQN would you sell first.

Thank you

Q: Greetings 5i,

The company's listed are TFSA holdings. The goal of the TFSA is moderately aggressive growth. Time frame is 4-8 years. Equities are purchased in equal weights and rebalanced based on weighting.

SLF and BNS are also held in other accounts, at an overall portfolio percent of ~5-6%. Which would you recommend adding to at this time? What do you consider the weakest from this list? Would you consider removing any from the TFSA holding only in either a non reg or reg account? If so, why? And which one, two or three additional growth oriented companies, either CAD or USD would you recommend.

Take as many credits as required.

Thank you for the excellent service.

Q: This is my margin portfolio, all position weightings are between 3%-5%.

The projected yield is 3.31% with a 3-5 year hold.

I realize 24 positions is a bit overkill but I can't seem to choose which to remove, which would you recommend?

What positions would you add to the portfolio?

Take as many credits as needed.

Thanks for the great service

Q: Hello! Wondering if you still like TMX group and Thompson Reuters. They both seem to be trading sideways when many stocks are gaining. As well, I know you really like BAM but this too, has been heading lower when many stocks like financials and insurers are going higher. In a diversified portfolio is it better to have a mix of different companies and just be patient with stocks that are doing nothing, as opposed to selling those (which may have potential) and moving into something like TD or SLF which seem to have more momentum right now. Dividends and growth are my objectives. Thank you!
