Q: Hello 5i
Recently you replied to a question regarding covered calls. You said you like high volatility companies for this strategy. In other places you said that you do not tend to write calls on core holdings. Just wondering what stocks you currently prefer for this strategy, that are not, or maybe, your core holdings
thanks
Q: With new electric vehicles coming I would be interested in looking at good investments which will be required for these vehicles. Would a mining stock be best, What stock would you recommend for Lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, and graphite? I am open to other suggestions for a good investment for our new electric vehicles going forward.
Q: If copper is believed to be strongly in demand in the future ,for various reasons, what Cies would be the safest investment ,at least in CDA ,or even elsewhere if possible as suggestion ?

Q: Hi I’m a long term investor, and currently very heavy on Tech. I’m currently searching for a non tech name for an RRSP for a long term hold. I’m more focused on growth as I have time on my hands. Outside of tech, I hold ATZ, HON, BAM, GSY, SQ, COST. Can you please list your top 10 favourite US companies?
Q: On a question regarding WELL you indicated, the appetite for growth stocks driven by acquisition, with sub $700 million cap have just about 0% appetite right now. If you ture that around, what is there an appetite for now and please give me 5 examples of Canadian companies and American companies that meet those requirements. Thanks.
Q: Please explain why there has been a 20% plus drop in TECK.B over the last three trading days, and if you believe the drop will continue based on what has happened in past market cycles when recession fears are high. I'd appreciate your analysis.
Q: What do you suggest in Food , Fertilizer and
Material stocks? I am looking at"beefing" up in those three areas as a protection for the present high inflation.
I'm interested in resource stocks that have long term demand - five years or more. Unlike oil/gas stocks that I'm told are too cyclical for long term holds. What resource or resources - copper, steel, uranium, aluminum, fertilizer, etc. - do you feel is reasonably safe and can you suggest some ways to play it in both Canada and the US?
Q: What is best strategy to attempt to hit near the top of the cycle on these names . I have been thru a few cycles with some of these. Which ones would you sell 1st ?
Some in RESP age 15 .
Q: Hi,
I am seeing what appears to be a surge in copper and wondering if this might be an opportunity to invest in either an ETF or individual stock. Given the current market, which would you prefer? Risk tolerance is fairly high, but I have little diversification in the materials sector other than GDX and SLX. Most of my available cash is in US dollars, within tax sheltered accounts. Thanks in advance for your sage advice!

Q: Given the increasing implied VOL in options, what are your favourite names in CAD and USD for covered call strategies?
Looking for stocks that you already like that have reasonably liquid options (I know harder in CAD) and you think have excellent bounce back potential and wouldn't mind owning for 2-3 years. Thanks
I have no materials in my portfolio although lots of oil. Can u recommend two US and two CDN ETFs OR companies that you think should do well without too much volatility?
My portfolio leans on Materials. I'm thinking of adding one of those. Which one is the better candidate and why? Do you have any other suggestions today? In RRSP with a 20+ horizon.
